I hate that I have to announce this but release of episodes is being delayed. I really wanted to release them after Thanksgiving but due to some unforeseen changes in my job situation my production manager and I haven’t been able to finish production. It is in the works and is coming soon and my hope is to release by the end of the year or first of the year! Interviews are complete and we can’t wait share everything we learned with you. There are some surprises in store and we are learning information every day so please stay tuned!

I would love for any of you who are able to join me and my friend Kelsey McKay with RESPOND Against Violence this Thursday evening at Alamo Drafthouse in Dallas for a sneak peak of Lunafest and a showing of Thelma & Louise to promote RESPOND, an organization whose mission it is to transform community responses to violence and trauma through forming alliances, enhancing policies, and creating sustainable change. There is no better advocate for women and children who are the victims of abuse than Kelsey. She will also be a guest on the podcast talking about strangulation and asphyxiation crimes!

I can’t help but think about the kids we serve every day at DCAC who are victims of abuse and neglect and the trauma they endure at the hands of their abusers. I don’t know about all of you, but I have a true trauma, almost PTSD response when watching coverage of this day. I remember where I was, how I felt, what I say and the many nightmares of seeing that plane hit the second tower. I tried watching a documentary on 9-11 with my husband the other night and I couldn’t do it. I actually had a physical response. Trauma from evil is real.

This case drew national attention because it went unsolved for 46 years before advancements in DNA technology linked McCurley to Carla Walker. McCurley was arrested in 2020.
