Assistant Commissioner Gojal, Mr. Zulqarnain Khan has imposed section 144 on littering and warned the tourists and locals of heavy penalties. In a message for the Clean and Green Hunza project, he warned the violators of spending time behind the bar.
The Clean and Green Hunza project is an initiative of Mountain Area Support Organization (MASO) supported by the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) of the Canadian High Commission in Pakistan to manage the solid waste issues in the jurisdiction.

First PIA flight reached Skardu from Lahore with 152 passengers

The first Pakistan Air Line's flight from Lahore reached Skardu with 152 passengers today. The water cannon salute has been given to the flight upon reaching Skardu Air Port.
The flight landed safely. Air Bus 320 will fly twice every week from Lahore to Skardu. According to our sources flight duration will be one and half hour.
Government has announced 7500 fare for one side. That means it is one of the cheapest flights for Gilgit-Baltistan.

Nazir sabir
Renowned mountaineer Nazir Sabir apologises for his choice of some inappropriate words regarding Muhammad Ali Sadpara in one of his previous interview.
In a video statement, he has said that Ali was like a younger brother and torchbearer of his profession.
He has said that people were trying to blame Ali for the decision of risking lives. He further said that he was trying to make the point that the decision was not with Ali.
Nazir Sabir has said that Ali Sadpara was a professional mountaineer with all the potential to make history in his field.
It is here to mention that Nazir Sabir has earned the prestigious Award for Pride-of-Performance in 1982 for his outstanding achievements in mountaineering. He was honoured with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2001 for his outstanding performance in this profession.
Nazir Sabir was the first Pakistani to summit Mount Everest on 17 May 2000 as a team member of the Mountain Madness Everest Expedition.
He has climbed Mount Everest and four of the five 8000 m peaks in Pakistan, including the world's second highest mountain K2 in 1981, Gasherbrum II 8035m, Broad Peak 8050m in 1982, and Gasherbrum I (Hidden Peak) 8068m in 1992.
In July 1980, Nazir Sabir lost his elder brother Inayat Shah, who served in the Pakistan Army Special Services Group (SSG). This was his brother’s second attempt on Diran peak in Nagar on the SSG expedition.
He currently operates an adventure travel outfit under the name of Nazir Sabir Expeditions.
In his political career, Sabir was elected as the member if Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly in 1994 and was appointed Advisor on Education and Tourism to the then government for a five-year term. He was the first to defeat the candidate of traditional Mir of Hunza family taking away the public mandate as a commoner for the first time.
