Abu Dharr reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "I was shown the good and evil deeds of my nation. I found that among their good deeds was removing harmful things from the road, and I found that among their evil deeds was their spit in the mosque that they left uncleaned." Source: Sahīh Muslim 553
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: وَتُمِيطَ الْأَذى عَنْ الطَرِيقِ صَدَقَةُ Clearing harmful things from the road is charity. Source: Şahīh al-Bukhārī 2827, Grade: Muttafagun Alayhi
Abu Barzah reported: I said, "O Prophet of Allah, teach me something that will benefit me." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Remove harmful things from the roads of the Muslims." Source: Sahih Muslim 2618
