Our latest video is live over on YouTube (link in bio). This week we were successful at visiting Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. We had failed once when trying to gain entry at 10am (an hour and forty five minute wait) this time we were up with the sun and at the entrance at 6am.

We managed two short hikes, which gave us breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. We also came up close and personal with the deer.

This is a stunning place, but by 9am it was almost overcrowded.

We are so excited to share another hike with you guys. Actually, it's two hikes - both short but with breathtaking views.

Last week we shared how we'd attempted to hike Hurricane Ridge, but the wait at the entrance was an hour and forty-five minutes. To avoid that this time around, we rose at dawn and were inside the park before 6am.j

First we visited the Crescent Lake Lodge which was where Roosevelt met to discuss creating the National Park in 1937. Such beautiful history.

We finished our day at .cafe.101 on the 101 where the food and ice cream didn’t disappoint. Amazing food, friendly staff and a fab spot in the PNW.

Warning: This hike is listed as ‘easy’. However, the long, steeps steps, just before seeing the falls, had more than one group turning back when we were there as it was too much for them.

This week, we’re checking another destination off our bucket list by hiking to Cape Flattery, the most northwestern point in the contiguous US. (Video in bio)

First, we’ll hit Sol Duc Hot Springs for a soak, then head to Hobuck RV Park in the Makah Nation.

The Hobuck RV Park has just ten rv sites on the beach which are all FCFS. We were THRILLED to snag a spot for a week.

Note: we attempted the hike to Cape Flattery three times before we were finally blessed with a clear day.
