Rescued puppy checked for chip
Daily Marley Update. He went to his first vet appointment, this morning. They checked him for a chip and, if we’re honest, were relieved we when they didn’t find one. He received a clean bill of health and is even at a healthy weight. All vaccinated and ready for the road. Big day and he did really well. Good boy, Marley.
🐪 Camels of Quartzite. Here’s more of the history to why there are so many camels both real and sculptures in Quartzite. 🐪 In 1855, US Secretary of War, Jefferson Davis, came up with an idea to use camels for military purposes in Arizona. The idea was logical, given the heat and terrain of the Arizona desert, and over the next two years some 77 camels and 6 handlers were imported into the West.Although an initial expedition with half those camels led by Edward Fitzgerald Beale across southern California was deemed a success, the experiment proved pretty much a disaster. The camels didn’t get on with the horses and mules on the trek; the handlers had trouble getting paid and three of them demanded to go home to Syria; the businesses supplying mules to the military were unsurprisingly, very vocal in their opposition to the experiment; despite their desert environment, the camels suffered with stones and goat heads in their hooves. But the final death knell for the US Camel Cavalry was the Civil War. Most of the camels were kept at Camp Verde and when it was seized by Confederate forces, the animals were allowed to wander away.#rvlife #rvliving #fulltimervers #wheretheywander #offgrid #nomads #camping #travel #camping #travel #livingmorewithless #adventure #camels #camel #history

We can’t be smart and resourceful every day. We were tired and grumpy. We were already researching the cost of a new power jack this morning, when Kev decided to have another look. So grateful he found the simple fix 💕#rvlife #rvliving #fulltimervers #wheretheywander #offgrid #nomads #camping #travel #adventure #livingmorewithless #broken #powerjack #lippert #granddesignrv

At first we were hopeful that they were coming to evict the lady with six dogs that bark NON STOP and never leave her trailer!Alas, this was not the case. This class A was towed with the poor owners in their ‘towed’ bringing up the rear. We can only hope their rig is fixed and they’re soon back on the road. Either that or they really are being evicted for not buying the pass. We’ve seen so many people without the winter pass here at Quartzite. The rangers will evict you if you’re caught 😳What do you think, evicted or broken down?#blm #quartzite #snowbirds #towed #evicted #brokendown #rvlife #rvliving #fulltimervers #wheretheywander #nomads #offgrid #camping #adventure #livingmorewithless #travel #winter #winterinquartzite
This is the most epic road trip for National Parks. Crater Lake - best to visit July and AugustMount Rainer - always awesome - less busy in shoulder season Olympic- best in summer unless you love rain North Cascades- one of the least visited parks in the US. Each of these parks offers something different and unique. We loved all of them. #craterlake #mountrainier #olympic #northcascades #nationalparkgeek #pnw #rvlife #rvliving #fulltimervers #wheretheywander #nomads #offgrid #camping #adventure #livingmorewithless #travel
