Ever seen a recovered 50 cal bullet? Its MASSIVE. That is a 155 grain 308 bullet on the right. Pretty neat find and not bad groups for cheap 660 grain ball ammo.

When your mag is longer than your barrel! Surefire quad stack mag (long discontinued). 100 freedom seeds, over 12” long, and weighs over 2lbs loaded. Pretty neat when they worked. A neat relic I found deep in the safe.

Spicy Ammo Part 2: M8 armor piercing incendiary (API) 50 BMG denoted by the silver painted tip. Its a 662 grain projectile with a hardened steel core and incendiary point filler that can pe*****te 7/8” armor plate. Lots of punching power and legal to own in most states.

Oooooh now thats a spicy meatball! For those of you unfamiliar, this is the 855a1 round. Its basically a green tip on steroids. Exposed hardened steel penetrator, has a copper slug instead of lead, oh and has a powder charge to get 20” barrel velocities out of a 14.5.

Long range match this weekend and there will be a high incline hike as part of the match. Which rifle should I shoot?
-
Option 1: LMT 16” 308 piston with 175 grainers. The Impact 4000 will help but also add weight. This rifle comes in at 14.7 lbs.
-
Option 2: LMT MRGG-A contract submission rifle. Its a 14.5” 6.5 creedmoor and weighs in right around 12 lbs.

The Impact 4000 is promising so far. It will range targets consistently even small ones (tested to 1.5 moa so far). Only downside I have found is the vis laser for aligning is kind of dim (though I am in a desert) and the calibration prior to mounting can be a bit of a pain.

Rifle is setup and ready for testing! MARS-H tano with 308 piston barrel. Scope is the razor 2 3-18 with the impact 4000 rangefinder up top and a RC2 762 can.

Just hit 200k miles on my daily driver. Less money on cars means more money for guns and ammo! The 5 does look good for its age though. What are your daily drivers?

Oops the 320 did it again! If yall havent seen it, video of a Montville police officer’s P320 going off in the holster was recently released. It happened just last week 🤔
