Following a strong finish of Alexandra Rosales and Eunice Deza, Laguna is now considered a powerhouse in Miss Universe Philippines. The MUPh-Laguna is set to commemorate its first staged-edition next year January 16 with two crowns and candidates are setting their sights on the two shiny crowns and titles: here’s Laguna Pageantry’s official headshot standouts:

1. Thea Marie Tatlonghari - First on the list is this beautiful lady from Santa Rosa City. Her charming eyes really shines on this portrait. Her glossy look and minimal, yet detailed makeup just made it light and soft to look at. We have seen this girl perform at last week’s sashing ceremony. Now, she’s still here at the top. Moving or non-moving, she can deliver.

2. Eloisa Jauod - Despite having the dimmest photo, her face card still brought her glamshot. She posed with enough intensity in the eyes and enough open of her mouth. Still, one of the girls to be beat even on portraits.

3. Ia Fiona Hombrebueno - Loving this look for this girl. The sweetness and innocence in her eyes really combined to produce an elegant portrait. Hope they can bring this out in her stage performances: soft, elegant, and glossy-looking.

Next on the list are:

4. Mikaela (Santa Rosa) - she is the only girl who is smiling, but still elegant looking in her portrait. Maybe, just a bit relax on her collar bone will make her photo even more captivating.

5. Valerie (Cabuyao City) - she’s a Sanya Lopez lookalike in this photo. We just felt that her neck was a little bit forced.

6. Polyanna (Magdalena) - she has a beautiful face, maybe a hint of smile in the eyes will make her photo more powerful.

7. Rendelle (Los Baños) - if you will look at this photo, she really has unique and strong face features that can stand out on the national stage. However, we just love to see her toned down to make her look younger and glowing.

Sashing Ceremony Standouts

With the Miss Universe Philippines - Laguna 2025 Sashing Ceremony over and done, here’s our list of what we think are impressive candidates:

Being in the actual scene watching them perform and speak live gave people a safe say on how they are different from pictures to live performances.

1. Eloisa Jauod — Arguably the best during the press presentation and the force to be reckoned. Her beauty, pasarela, and overall styling is undeniably the on point among the candidates. We can see that she has reserved looks in the pocket for the upcoming events. She and her team know what’s the event; they know what to release every time they will be having exposure. We just love to see her more comfortable and spontaneous while speaking.

2. Thea Marie Tatlonghari — she was very memorable because she was so beautiful. In a dim setup, she registers very well during that night. She has this commanding presence and s*x appeal, but needs improvement in terms of how she talks in the stage.

3. Loudes Jestre — She might be underrated as of the moment but other girls need to pay attention to this towery glamazon. We love how she seems so relaxed during the presentation. She was the girl that not got eaten by big long hair extensions. If they she and her team will be consistent in improving her and will choose the best fitted styling, she will definitely cement a spot in the top 5, not to mention even one of the crowns.

4. Polyanna Martina Manalo — we think being one of the most experienced girls is her advantage. She knows herself well in the stage. She knows what she is doing. We just missed her giggly personality as she was always ‘smizing’ rather than ‘smiling’ during that night. And hopefully improves in terms of discovering new looks.

5. Francielle Nazareno — rooting for this lady to wake from her slumber. This girl can give us face galore. She also seemed to have held back a bit in her pasarela. We’re hoping for a stronger stage presence and improved styling in the next events.

Next in the lists are Rendelle Ann Caraig, Atasha Espino, and Ia Fiona Hombrebueno. We think these girls can pe*****te the top 5, but will slip if they will not refine their looks come finals night to up the ante.

OPINION: Miss Universe Philippines - Laguna 2025 Press Presentation

Miss Universe Philippines - Laguna candidates were seen in their white evening gowns during the presentation. After the sashing ceremony, here are some raw opinions about what we have seen:

Eloisa Jaoud representing San Pedro was a clear standout in her classic Filipiñana evening gown. She really glows despite the dark lighting of the stage. The ponytail is a good choice, but maybe a bit shorter in length.

Lou Jestre from Paete is a surprise. She is one of the girls who looked polished and stood out just by standing and flaunting her towery height.

Atasha Espino of Los Baños is one to eye with her beauty. Less is more will fit this girl. The makeup is good but looks heavy on her. Also, the hair is too big for her face.

This girl from Santa Rosa City named Thea Marie Tatlonghari exudes class of a Miss Universe Philippines. If they could work out more on her communication skills, they can possibly clinch as crown.

Does Ia Fiona Hombrebueno of Santa Cruz have the vibes of Roberta Tamondong? A little experiment on her styling will make her standout for the next activities of the pageant. Needless to say, the hair length should be shorter; under the bust would do.

Talking about the reigning Binibining Laguna 2024, Rendelle Caraig of Los Baños. She has this undeniable stage presence, but it just feels like they need to relax and tone down her looks get to get to where they want.

Also, Polyanna Manalo of Magdalena. Communications skills is given, but feels like they need to redirect their styling. This girl has oozing s*x appeal, but needs to soften. Not to mention, the direction can be seen right now is MGI.

Lastly, one of interesting candidates is Jessa Krista Yu of Biñan City who is 37 years old. A story to tell among others.

Come close the Anilag Festival, Ginoo at Binibining Laguna is one of the most anticipated events in the upcoming festival. Here are Top 5 strong ‘rumored’ candidates that will surely rock the Ginoong Laguna stage:

1. - he is Mister Model Worldwide. His experience from national stage will definitely put him easily in the top 5. He has this manly but charming personality that really captures the stage.

2. - talking about class. Regardless of his height, when you see this man from Lumban in person, you can definitely see class and charm together with his killer smile that really stood out among others.

3. - one word: clean. This Ginoong Victoria 2024 is definitely one of the candidates that when you see in person is neat looking with excellent communication skills. With a little toning up in his body, he can really place higher than we can imagine.

4. - this guy from Calauan is one to look out for. The word ‘manly’ really defines him with his fresh and light aura. If he can improve and nail his Q&A, he can definitely bag a spot in the Top 5.

5. Leanz Marron Bague - if the prototype won’t change (from Ginoong Laguna Patrick Roxas), he will effortlessly place and clinch the crown. He is one of the candidates that suits in a celebrity prototype.

1. Stephanie Bianca Ilagan from San Pablo City — she is definitely the one to beat with her captivating beauty, excellent communication skills, talent (she has joined various national TV singing competitions), and towery height.

2. Yumiq Jam - this fresh face in from Lumban is one of those girls who exudes class just by standing. Her beauty resembles a young Catriona Gray. Take note, she is Miss University of Makati 2023. With proper styling and training, she can easily pe*****te a slot in the top 5.

3. Floriane Lajara - she is Miss Supermodel Philippines 2023 - 4th runner up. That place really speaks for her. Her charm and s*x appeal is just phenomenal, not to mention, she looks like Kelsey Merritt. If she could just focus on her communication skills, she can undoubtedly clinch the crown.

4. Katrina Napigkit - she is the reigning Binibining San Pedro 2024; with her body and classic Filipina beauty, she can go head-to-head with these girls.

5. Julianna Marie Quiambao - she is Miss Biñan 2024. We all know that if a candidate is from this city, it’s an easy frontrunner. And yes, she is one of the girls to look out for.
