I Don't Need U is classed as one of the stand out tunes from the Essex UK Garage scene during the 00's.

The tune built such a buzz from pirate radio and specialist DJ support when it was originally released larger commercial radio stations such as Essex Radio also began to support the release, quite unheard of back then for an unsigned independent UK Garage tune.

“Distant Soundz Recordings is pleased to present the second in a number of UK Garage Classics remastered and made available digitally for the very first time.

The Klass Kutz EP was originally released back in 1998 and was made by the Distant Soundz boys whilst they were still at school in their early teens!

Memories was heavily supported by the key pirate radios stations in Essex and South London becoming one of the UK Garage anthems of Zero's Nightclub in Southend, an iconic venue that played a fundamental role in the explosion of the UK Garage genre during the 00's.

The Klass Kutz EP has gained a cult like status in the Essex UK Garage scene with original vinyl copies of the release exchanging hands for sizable sums of money.

We are proud to finally make this much sort after UK Garage classic available digitally.”
