Sometimes it can feel like we don't have control.

It can feel like the world is spinning around us. It can feel so overwhelming, tiring and exhausting.

One of the things I love about working with leaders is I get to help them take back control. You do have some level of control.

You have control over your actions and reactions.

You have control over how you listen and how you respond.
You have control over your habits.
You have control over how you treat yourself and others.

Overwhelm happens when we think macro level.

Change happens at the micro level.

It only happens when we focus on what WE are doing though. Not what others are doing, but what WE are doing.

Good leaders blame themselves first. They see what they can change in the way they relate to others. They know how others perceive them.

We are excited to launch The Leadership Pulse- the Podcast focused on creating healthy culture in healthcare.

Turnover is high in medicine with the average rate for nurse turnover of 27%. Burnout for physicians based on surveys is around 67% and higher for other clinicians and staff with numbers above 70%.

Preventing burnout is a systemic problem that needs to be addressed. In this podcast, we are talking to guests on what they see for the future of healthcare culture.
