While we try to focus on the fun, bizarre and hilarious stories of the Sunshine State, today brought on a few clouds. Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett was a friend of the show, a huge supporter of the arts in central Florida, a super nice guy and a pretty fantastic Mayor! We will miss you Jeff!

Triplett’s time leading Sanford was marked by Trayvon Martin’s death and protests, after police initially did not arrest George Zimmerman for Martin's shooting death.
