Have you knit an Audrey yet?

The Audrey scarf/ hair tie/ head wrap/ neckerchief is

• a simple yet elegant pattern that knits up quickly
• a great gift knit
• customizable
• adaptable to many sizes while not requiring an exact fit

Depending on what size(s) you knit, you can make up to 5 Audrey projects out of the average skein (100g) of fingering-weight yarn. That’s a lot of mileage for one skein!

The low yardage requirement also makes it an excellent stash-buster for lingering skeins of fingering-weight yarn.

You can purchase the Audrey pattern here: https://vist.ly/3mgtbd9

This is a quick reminder that today is the LAST DAY to take advantage of the 30% DISCOUNT on Audrey!

I'd be thrilled if you would pass this information on to your knit-friends and any knitting groups you belong to.

I'm trying to spread the word and get Audrey back on Ravelry's "Hot Right Now" list so more folks will see her.😊 Adding the pattern to your Favorites, Projects, or Queue is a big help even if you're not purchasing the pattern!

If you’d like to knit your Audrey with a group, Olive & Two Ewe are hosting a KAL in their Facebook group, Yarny Ewes

I ALWAYS love seeing your projects in our Facebook group, Nomadic Knits : Knit the World! , in the Ravelry group, and on Instagram! 😍 😍 😍

Audrey is here!🍾

TL;DR- Audrey is available on Ravelry and is discounted through Sunday. You can purchase your copy here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/audrey-55

Earlier this year, I began dreaming of the ideal gift knit. It had to:
• be small and simple enough to knit up quickly
• show off the yarn
• be customizable for different recipients, if desired
• be adaptable to many sizes while not requiring an exact fit.

(If you have a list of measurements for all your knit-worthy people, I bow to your incredible foresight and organizational skills. The rest of us mere mortals are just out here winging it!)

I'd like to think Audrey hits all the marks and then some. 😉

Depending on what size(s) you knit, you can generally make 2-4 Audrey projects out of the average skein (100g) of fingering-weight yarn. That’s a lot of mileage for one skein!

The low yardage requirement also makes it an excellent stash-buster for lingering skeins of fingering-weight yarn.

Are you ready to cast on?

Audrey is designed in Woolf in Spindleprick Red by Olive & Two Ewe. It’s a beautiful blend of grey alpaca, silk, and cashmere. Last I checked, they’re very low on Woolf due to high demand, so your heart is set on it, head over to www.oliventwoewe.com and grab your pick before they disappear.

If they run out of Woolf or you can't find your preferred color, have no fear; Rawlings is here!

Rawlings is a luxe blend of superwash merino, silk, and cashmere. Its twist adds stitch definition, while the cashmere and silk lend a gorgeous drape and sheen. A wide variety of colors is available on the Olive & Two Ewe website. I see skeins of Mad Spatter, Blackberry Wine, and Copper Rawlings in my future.🤩

I’m ready to kick off the gift-knitting season. Who’s coming with me??

If you’d like to join a fun KAL, Olive & Two Ewe are hosting an Audrey KAL that begins this Saturday. It will take place in their Facebook group, Yarny Ewes. I’ll be popping into their group (and here!) to enjoy everyone’s progress.😍

If your name is on the list, congrats!! Here is how to claim your prize:

In the email, please list:
~ Your full name / Ravelry name / Instagram handle (as applicable)
~ Your mailing address

Thanks in advance for helping me streamline this portion of the giveaway process; it simplifies things on my end and helps me deliver prizes more quickly. Some prizes are digital and don’t require a mailing address, but having all of the info in one place is helpful.

Please don’t attempt to send this info via social media platforms or Ravelry. It’s very easy for those messages to get buried, and I would hate to miss your message!

Thank you for making this Knitmas in July KAL/FAL - our very first with an official pattern! - such a fun event💕

You and this wonderful community are what makes these events so special. I’m so glad you’re here.

Shall we do it again next year??

xoxo,
Becky

I've been knitting everywhere lately!

Instead of Knit in Public Day, I'm celebrating Knit in Public Summer.🏝️ Who wants to join me?

So far, I've knit two Knitmas in July shawls (for science!) and have three more on the needles (also, for science!)😳

They're so easy to bring along that I can't stop. And I will ABSOLUTELY be casting on one more with my fellow Knitmas'ers this Monday.🎉

I can't wait to knit with y'all!! If you haven't grabbed your pattern and a kit, or curated your own kit yet, there's still time. We'll be knitting together throughout July and are still shipping kits. The full pattern will be available on June 30th.

Knit the World!

Thanks for stopping by to check out Nomadic Knits, a boutique magazine featuring beautifully designed knitwear and their patterns, local fiber producers, and indie dyers. Each issue focuses on a different region of the world and highlights the things that make that region so special. Our first issue focuses on Florida and was released in September 2018 in local yarn shops throughout the US. Since then, we have released six more issues and are thrilled to see the magazines being distributed throughout the world!

Becky travels the country full-time in a van while hunting down beautiful locations and fiber stories. Follow her travels on Instagram @thecuriousadventures.

Melissa is the designer behind Melissa Kemmerer Designs, and she travels between upstate NY and southern Florida, knitting wherever she happens to be. Follow her on Instagram @melissakdesigns.

Becky and Melissa met and became great friends through their love of yarn and knitting. They continuously enable each other to buy ALL the yarn and knit ALL the things. These two are determined to stay connected through their love of knitting and all things fiber, and you can follow their pursuit of local makers and fiber artists here and on Instagram @nomadicknits. Melissa and Becky believe that local is where you are right now, and wherever you find your people; it is not just a place, but a sense of community and belonging.
