Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao demanded that the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief post should be given to a BC leader. He said that the party would have no future if the post was given to Revanth Reddy, who is tainted in corruption cases. The party is already facing tough time after being branded as a corrupt party, he said.

VH's demand has become a hot topic in the Congress circles. The senior Congress leader said that he does not want any post because he had already served as the PCC chief. He demanded that BCs should be given due recognition in the party. If all the three posts, Congress legislature party president, Congress working president and PCC chief post are given to the Reddys, injustice would be done to the backward classes, he lamented.

If the Congress high command is firm that the PCC chief post should be given to a Reddy, then it should be given to Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Kaka demanded. Venkat Reddy won as an MLA for four times and he even sacrificed his minister post for the sake of separate Telangana, he reminded and felt that the party high command should review its decision.

Following these comments, there are reports of threat calls to VH from 'Revanth supporters'. They threatened him of dire consequences if he held a press meet in Gandhi Bhavan, the Congress party office in Hyderabad.

Political analysts feel that irrespective of the caste factor, the Congress, which is facing an existential threat in the state and even the country, needs a leader who can breathe new life into the cadre. A few Congress functionaries also feel that VH has grown old and that his demands and comments need not be paid heed as the party requires a challenging leader to take it forward.

The TDP Telangana Unit President L Ramana is likely to join the TRS anytime soon. Rumours are that he was given the assurance of an MLC post, prompting him to quit the TDP and join the TRS party.

Last year, TDP Telangana leaders staged protests over L Ramana's leadership in September. They had written to the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, seeking a change of leadership of the Telangana party. They alleged that only one person has been in the presidency for the last seven years and that the party's presence in the state was a matter of concern and demanded that he be replaced.
After these developments, Ramana was lying low and was in talks with the TRS and was likely to switch loyalties.

Telangana TDP office in Hyderabad which was once abuzz with activity now wears a deserted look after many leaders deserted the party, including ministers and politburo members. Few leaders like Ramana stayed back. There is information that Ramana was in talks with Jagtial MLA Sanjay Kumar from where he hails from.

Lgandula Ramana was a two time MLA and MP from Karimnagar and also worked as a Handlooms minister in Chandrababu Naidu's cabinet, in united Andhra Pradesh. He has been continuing to serve as the TDP president in Telangana even after the bifurcation of the state. On June 3, six MLC posts in the MLA quota fell vacant. It is learnt that Ramana might be given an MLC offer as part of the TRS Party's strategy to get a hold in the Karimnagar district.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday urged Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao to hold a special COVID-19 vaccination drive for those who got job offers from Gulf countries.

Asaduddin Owaisi took to Twitter and wrote, "Many in Hyd have got job offers from abroad, especially Gulf. Countries are demanding vaccine certificate for Covishield. Request to hold spl vax camp for job visa holders, like it's being done for students going abroad. Appropriate certificates may also be issued."

లాక్ డౌన్ లక్ష్మణరేఖ దాటవద్దు: సైబరాబాద్ పోలీస్

కరోనా వ్యాధి వ్యాప్తిని నిరోధించడానికి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం అన్ని చర్యలు తీసుకుంటుంది. అందులో భాగంగా విధించిన లాక్ డౌన్ అమలును ఇంకా కొంత మంది అతిక్రమిస్తున్న నేపధ్యంలో సైబరాబాద్ పోలీసులు అతిక్రమణదారులపై కొరడా జులిపిస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పటికే 478 కేసులు నమోదు చేసిన పోలీసులు వేలాదిగా వాహనాలను జప్తు చేయడం జరిగింది. ఇప్పటికే నగరం మొత్తం మీద 7 లక్షల పైగా ఉన్న CCTV కెమెరాలలో, సైబరాబాద్ లో ఉన్న లక్షా పదిహేను వేల కెమెరాలను కమాండ్ కంట్రోల్ కి అనుసంధానం చేయడం జరిగింది. వీటి ద్వారా రోడ్ల మీద ప్రజల కదలికలు ఎప్పటికప్పుడు గమనించడం జరుగుతుంది. ఇదే కాకుండా పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో ద్రోన్ల ద్వారా ప్రజల కదలికలు పసిగట్టి చర్యలు తీసుకోబడ్డవి. ఇప్పుడు పోలీసు వారి అమ్ముల పొదిలో మరో సాంకేతిక అస్త్రం జత అయ్యింది. ఇదే “లాక్ డౌన్ వయొలేషన్ ట్రాకింగ్ అప్లికేషన్”. దీనిని తెలంగాణ పోలీసు శాఖ తయారు చేయగా, అన్ని చెక్ పోస్టులలో ఉన్న అధికారులకు టాబ్ లలో ఇన్స్టాల్ చెయ్యడం జరిగింది. ఎవరైనా ఒక వ్యక్తి రోడ్ మీదకు వచ్చిన వెంటనే సమీపంలో ఉన్న పోలీసు అధికారి అతని వివరాలు టాబ్ లో నమోదు చెయ్యడం జరుగుతుంది. అట్టి వ్యక్తి ఆ ప్రాంతానికి మూడు కిలోమీటర్ల పరిధిలో మాత్రమే అదికూడా కేవలం అత్యవసరాల నిమిత్తం మాత్రమే బయటకు వెళ్లవచ్చు. అది కూడా GO: 45, 46 లలో పేర్కొన్న నిబంధనల మేరకు, మోటార్ సైకల్ పై ఒక వ్యక్తి, కార్ లో డ్రైవరు కాక మరొక వ్యక్తికి మాత్రమే అనుమతి ఉంటుంది. ఒకవేళ ఎవరైనా ఈ మూడు కిలోమీటర్ల పరిధిని దాటినట్లైతే అట్టి వ్యక్తి వాహనాన్ని జప్తు చేసి, వారిపై “జాతీయ విపత్తుల నియంత్రణ చట్టం”, “అంటువ్యాధుల నివారణ చట్టం” మరియు “భారతీయ శిక్షా స్మృతి” మేరకు కేసులు నమోదు చేసి కఠినమైన చర్యలు తీసుకోబడతాయి. దీన్ని అతిక్రమించిన వారికి 2 సంవత్సరాల జైలు శిక్ష మరియు జరిమానా కూడా పడే అవకాశం ఉంది. జప్తు చేయబడిన వాహనం ఇప్పట్లో విడుదల చేసే అవకాశం కూడా ఉండదు. కాబట్టి ప్రజలు ఎవరైనా కూడ అనవసరంగా రోడ్ల మీదకు రారాదు. ఒకవేళ అత్యవసరంగా రావాల్సి వస్తే, నిబంధనల మేరకు మాత్రమే రావాలి. ప్రతి చిన్న అవసరానికి బయటకు రాకుండా కనీసం రెండు మూడు రోజుల పాటు సరిపోయేలా అన్ని రకాల నిత్యావసరాలను ఒకేసారి కొనుగోలు చేసుకోవాలి. ఈ విధంగా బయటకు తప్పనిసరి పరిస్థితుల్లో వచ్చిన వారు కూడా, ఖచ్చితంగా మాస్క్ ధరించవలెను, మనుషుల మధ్య కనీసం 3 మీటర్ల దూరం పాటించాలి. రోడ్ల మీద అనవసరంగా ఉమ్మ కూడదు. తరచుగా మీ చేతులను సబ్బు నీటితో శుభ్రంగా కడుక్కొవాలి. లేదా శానిటైజర్ ఉపయోగించ వచ్చు. ఈ నిబంధనలు అన్ని మీ కోసం
