Nurse interviewed a number of patients who had NDE's during hospital care.
Man viewed medical staff around him whilst unconscious with eyes closed during NDE. He saw a man whom he perceived to be Jesus but he said he had long scruffy hair but also the typical piercing eyes. Jesus type figure told him it wasn't his time and he had to go back. Man who was 60 had cerebral palsy and had a contracted hand but after NDE he could open up his hand much to the bafflement of medical staff. Sister signed a statement to say he had never been able to open his hand.
Brain mediates consciousness as a form of filter but doesn't create it.
After NDE's many people live their lives in a different way and become more altruistic.
Man was witnessed having animated conversations and when he was lucid he told his family he had spoken with mother, grand mother and dead sister who had died a week before even though he didn't know she had died.
