Book Inspiration:
"Talking about wounds is important, but talking about our healed wounds is just as important"-Unashamed by Lecrae. Lecrae

This quote from Lecrae's book Unashamed has really inspired me. It's made me realize that it's not just important to talk about our wounds but also how we've healed from them.

I think this is such an important message because sometimes we focus on the negative aspects of our lives, and we forget to celebrate our victories, small or large. We often fail to talk about how far we've come. It's a reminder that we should be proud of ourselves and our ability to overcome adversity.

Knowing your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats will help you as a writer and author. How you asked; well, knowing what you can or can't do can help you better strategize for your next book. So, after you break out your S.W.O.T. analysis, you should consider the four alternatives.

The alternatives are strengths-opportunities, weaknesses-opportunities, strengths-threat, weaknesses-threat.

1. Strength-Opportunities: Utilize your strengths to take advantage of an opportunity.
1. Find a gap in the market where there is a need and monetize it

2. Weaknesses-Opportunities: Overcome your weaknesses by taking hold of an opportunity
1. When you take a risk on an opportunity, it becomes more comfortable for you to do it again.

3. Strengths-Threats: use your strengths to prevent a threat
1. If your market is heavily saturated and one of your skills is in social media, use that to your advantage.

4. Weaknesses-Threats: Minimize the weaknesses and minimize the threats
1. Gain a new skill and take a risk; these are just ways you can reduce a liability that will minimize the threat.

Four simple ways to market your book:

1. Create shareable content
*Social media is an excellent tool to advertise, promote, and reach your target audience. To reach your target audience, utilize keywords that your target audience is searching for.

2. Utilize Facebook and Instagram ads
*Facebook and Instagram ads are great when you have a small budget; you can control how much you want to spend, and they're easy to create.

3. Build a landing page
*A landing page is great because it allows you to promote your book with more content and features. You can use the landing page to sell your book personally, and you can use ads to direct traffic to your page.

4. Reach out to your local book clubs and fairs.
*Try to participate in local events to promote your book.
Participating in book clubs helps you with public speaking as well as giving you exposure.

E.A.T. Strategy
Writing a book isn't the endpoint; you have to market your book continuously, and in return, you start to establish an author brand. This strategy is an excellent tool for SEO, but you can use it to enhance and improve your brand.

*E: Expertise
When you start to develop content that educates and people are gaining knowledge, you're building credibility. That means you should work towards being that key person when someone has a question.
Book Reviews is another great way to build expertise in your niche. Someone can look at your reviews and want to buy your book based on those reviews.

*A: Authorative
Very similar to expertise, meaning that others perceive you as an authentic person and would like to know more about you.
I.G. and Facebook is a great way to promote your book. You can create a page and invite friends and family to like it.

*T: Trustworthiness
When you provide expertise, be authentic, you can gain someone's trust. It's great to have an audience that believes in your writing because they will continuously buy from you; call that book loyalty.
Bring a sense of community and engage with your audience.

*LAST THING: IF ONLY YOUR FAMILY AND CLOSE FRIENDS READ YOUR BOOK, ASK THEM QUESTIONS ABOUT IT, THEY WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU AN HONEST REVIEW.*
