The life of an ordinary gamer

Vlom1313
Introduction
Have a good day and a great mood to everyone! I want to share with you some bright moments of my playing experience. Console generations are changing, PC hardware capacities are growing, young development teams are transforming into large corporations. Video games have made a huge leap in development over the past three decades. And I would like to tell you about the kaleidoscope of video games that I have seen over the years through the eyes of an ordinary gamer.

Dendy

The Dandy console burst into the Russian market like a tsunami. It was later possible to find out that in fact they were "Korean-Chinese" clones of the Japanese Nintendo game system, kindly rebranded in the domestic market by local businessmen. But at that time it was a Bomb. There were advertisements on every corner: on TV, in shops, on the streets, but the most viral one was in schools! There is no better advertisement than "word of mouth" and we were that radio. For us, ordinary boys 8-9 years old, the Dandy was something out of the realm of fiction. A device that could revive the book, give the opportunity to control the cartoon quickly became popular and desirable.

Tents on the market with cartridges for Dandies in the 90s were a constant gathering place for schoolchildren and not only.
Tents on the market with cartridges for Dandies in the 90s were a constant gathering place for schoolchildren and not only.
My first acquaintance with the Dandy happened at a classmate's house. That day, after school, we played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles until late in the evening. It is difficult to describe the emotions of the game. It was rapture, euphoria, a geyser of endorphins... Whatever you want, call it that. It is not difficult to guess that I managed to persuade my parents to buy my own console quickly. Thanks to the advertising described above, I did not have to explain for a long time what kind of device it is and what it is needed for. And the burning eyes spoke for themselves! And a month later, my brother and I became the owners of the Dandy... with a gun.

On the wave of HYPE at that time, the TV project Dandy New Reality was launched, and a little later the magazine of the same name. Fresh games appeared in the markets and we went there every two or three weeks, each time struggling with a painful choice in front of huge counters strewn with yellow and orange cartridges. The most relish was that you could immediately, without leaving the cash register, try this or that game. Fortunately, portable televisions were right there in the tents. We never asked what our parents and my brother's new hobby cost us...

What can I name first of all from the "blockbusters" of that time? To begin with, this is of course Super Mario Bros. - a simple platformer after the first levels broke my fingers and nerves on the subsequent ones. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - a game based on the mega popular cartoon just had to be a hit. Contra is a hurricane action movie for real guys. Battle City - the dances of my childhood, with the titular musical motif forever imprinted on the subcortex of the brain. Duck Hunt is a fun shooting range if the revision of the Dandy supported the gun. You can imagine what I experienced in the game if at that time we were running through the woods with improvised weapons made of branches and cones.
The Walt Disney company did not lag behind the general madness and after a while flooded the market with decent games under the license of Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Little Mermaid.
It seemed that nothing could surprise me anymore, but then I found out about the Battletoads game...

Battletoads
Battletoads
The effect of this game can only be compared with the effect of acquaintance with Demons Souls, which will be discussed later. Fighting toads were the answer to the success of TMNT, but with its own distinctive style, history and humor, well, the complexity of this game has already become a legend. There were rumors that someone from our school even passed it, but it was hard to believe.

Sega MegaDrive 2

A couple of years later, a novelty appeared on the Russian market - Sega Megadrive 2. It was a soldered and improved Chinese version of the Japanese Shogi console. The advertisement beckoned with a magic number of 16 bits, against 8 bits of Dandy, and the juicy picture of the new games was amazing. And anyone who has ever opened a box with a cartridge will remember the smell of Chinese plastic even after n years.
Almost simultaneously with Sega, a new official version of the Nintendo console called Super Nintendo appeared in Russia. But even with the presence of Donkey Kong in exclusives and several other games available only on this system, few of my friends chose to buy SNES. The price of the console was very high. But I still played Donkey Kong with a friend)).

There was nothing wrong with the choice of games on Sega from the very beginning, unlike the SNES. It was during these years that the formation of the gaming industry on strong legs took place. Experiments with genres and the way of presenting gameplay began. Well, we, gamers, watched the creation of history.
Sonic The Hedgehog - amazed by the dynamics, the speed of what was happening. Comix Zone - head off the graphics. Mortal Kombat 2.3, Ultimate is a phenomenal success that has spawned a cult. I remember tournament tables, class-by-class games, battles that often came out of the virtual world into the real one. EarthWorm Jim 1,2 is another significant "systemseller" of the Sega era. The pinnacle of art direction and level design of that time.
The Disney company did not doze off this time and gave the go-ahead for the development of such key games of the era as Alladin, Lion King, The Jungle Book, Pocahontas.
It is very difficult to single out more titles, but there were a lot of games and I absorbed them as much as possible.

The games started to get bigger. The duration began to grow. To save progress, slots for round batteries began to appear on some cartridges. I was lucky and Shining Force 2 got caught already with a slot, while a friend bought it without it. But this circumstance did not prevent him from taking turns with his brother to arrange a 20-hour longplay for the passage and tell the whole class about the ending.
An important fact is that often the games on Sega were in English. Why often, but not all? - You ask. And because there was a high probability of buying a Japanese or Chinese version of the game, but that didn't stop us!
When the games became larger and went beyond the genre of an ordinary platformer, then problems began with understanding the plot and the direction of movement for further passage. Mainly thanks to games, I started to learn basic English while the school curriculum was only German.
After adding batteries and obtaining basic language knowledge, games such as Shining Force 2, Phantasy Star 3,4, Landstalker were finally completed.
Well, with the advent of the Vektorman game at the end of the Shogi era, it became clear that a new leap in graphics and a new console were coming.

Sony Playstation

For a long time, the Playstation was only in my dreams. It was increasingly difficult to explain to parents how one "box" differs from another. Enterprising businessmen began to open video clubs in the city, where they could play new games Twisted Metal, Tekken 3, Syphon Filter, Crash the Bandicoot for little money. And for a while my friends and I became regular guests there.

At the age of 14-15, something forbidden and scary especially beckons. Silent Hill excited the brain at that time. It was scary to play, but interesting. In a close company in front of the TV, we all shuddered as one when a monster jumped out of the next corner or a locker door in an abandoned school shrouded in fog abruptly opened. The Japanese horror movie impressed me so much that a couple of days later I bought a CD without having my own set-top box. In the evenings, I put it under my pillow and looked at the pictures on the disk. Only after a couple of weeks on the DR I finally bought a console.

The number of games on PSone couldn't be counted. There were so many of them that sometimes games were thrown in the middle of the passage in favor of a fresh release. Hits came out in packs for every taste and color. Resident Evil 1,2,3, Dino Crisis 1,2, Fear Effect, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid.
A special place among the games for a long time was captured by the JRPG genre. Beautiful worlds, twisted plots, memorable characters were the hallmark of the genre. Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX Squaresoft company printed one after another. Xenogears, Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Cross, Vandal Hearts II were worn to holes, some more than once, as at some point the first translations into Russian began to appear. It became more difficult to choose the "correct" version, because often a clumsy Promt translation could completely break the progress in the game. We were walking blindly through a minefield!

Games became more voluminous, CGI videos ate up all the space and games no longer fit within one disk. Titles on two, three, four and even seven began to appear! disks.

At the end of 2000, I was unexpectedly bought a computer. Apparently the gift meant that I would need it for further studies, but a gamer is a gamer and I began to catch up on what was missed on consoles. Well, and dig into the latest novelties.

The most "hardcore" and the most "stuffy" mod on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. that can only be found at ALL. Perhaps it is this kind of description that a player who decides to get acquainted with the modification of "NLC 7 I am Marked" will most often stumble upon. And from a part, it really is. Not every fan of the series, who dared to go through, will get to the coveted titles. And for the pure, not because of the crushing complexity that really exists here, but rather just because of the somewhat ephemeral concept of "stuffiness".

Someone will be annoyed by the eternal fuss with unloading, where they constantly have to throw cartridges.

And this is even more unloading!
And this is even more unloading!
Someone does not like the intra-group schedule of NPCs, whose appearance sometimes has to wait for almost days. Phonetic, in the literal sense of the word, wild boars. A marked suffocator who can't take a step without rewarding us with an ASMR session. And of course, the legendary preservation system near the campfires. The list can be continued almost indefinitely, with the only caveat that it will vary for each player. For what is unique mechanics for one, is at best an unnecessary fuss for the other.

And a natural question arises. And actually, WHY play this mod if it's so "stuffy"? And where do these shell-shocked people come from, claiming that this is almost the BEST stalker project of all time?

To be honest, I did not immediately understand myself. And not even from the first attempt of acquaintance. Only on the 3rd time I still managed to complete NLC 7 and finally realize what really catches this mod.

Play
Video version, if you are too lazy to read

But let's start in order. What, in principle, is the original idea of NLC? Oh, it's all very simple. Issue the MAXIMUM possible challenge level within the very first game of the series — Shadows of Chernobyl. And in pursuit of this goal, the modders (although the original idea belongs to only one person) have reconfigured almost every aspect of the game to their needs.

It catches the eye from the very start. The plot seems to be the same. And it seems not the same. Immediately, some new characters loom in sight. Fresh quests, significantly redesigned and expanded old ones. And the further into the Zone, the more differences and additions there will be in the history.

The juiciest thing that local tasks can offer is variability. Not everywhere and not always, but still often there will be situations that can be resolved in several ways. Not to kill all the bandits on the ATP, but to find a way to negotiate. Not to shoot all the warriors in the agricultural industry, but to bargain for the necessary information for a fee. Such peaceful ways of resolving conflicts, though hotter, are much more preferable. So the reward will usually be more, and even in the future, the saved lives may be auctioned with new side effects and indulgences. And it sounds great, but there is a nuance. And perhaps not even one.

The first is the almost complete absence of markers on the map, and sometimes even descriptions of tasks in the PDA. Have you listened to what they want from you? Where do they want this from you? And to whom then to go with it? The fool himself. Deal with the consequences yourself. Or better yet, download it altogether. And okay, if so, but sometimes even watching the game closely, it becomes decidedly unclear — and what to do at all?

In most cases, at least some information about quests can be found in the PDA in the requests and notes section.;
In most cases, at least some information about quests can be found in the PDA in the requests and notes section
The second nuance is the twisted A—Life. For those who do not know, this stray is responsible for the behavior of mutants and NPCs, simulating their alleged independence, they say, even without the participation of the player, the Zone lives its own life. And sometimes it happens that an archived character for you gets urine in his head and he runs through the whole location figs him understand where. Through mutants, through anomalies, through factions hostile to him, I don't care at ALL. It is natural that such an ignoramus dies at some point, and the player receives a message on the PDA that so-and-so died there-and-there. An indescribable "buzz", especially if it has not been preserved for a long time. Because you can deal with this mainly by rebooting. Or by moving to another location as soon as possible, so that the alive is already on it.

It would seem, well, think of the problem — to reboot. And so it is, because in fact, the problem here is to initially persist. Regular quicksaves will not work. Kindly stock up on matches and consolidate your progress near the campfire. Or when entering another location. Well, in the rarest cases during sleep

Such burners can also act as peculiar  "bonfires"
Such burners can also act as a kind of "bonfires"
And the idea here is quite understandable and even working. By limiting the player in saves, you force him to treat the carcass of the Marked One much more carefully. There's no way to get a first aid kit when half an hour of gameplay is at stake. And it's better to avoid some of the dangers than to get into trouble. It does not hurt to plan a route in advance. How to choose the appropriate equipment for it. Such a decision greatly slows down the pace of the game, introduces a moment of preparation for each move and spurs you to weigh each new step.

The tempo is also affected by the "pseudo" animations accompanying almost any action — the backpack "opens", the sausage is "eaten", the bandage is "bandaged". At the same time, the effect of many used items does not appear immediately. The same first aid kit will take a long time, very slowly, to restore the sagging "hepeshechka". And such a course of first aid will be accompanied by a slight darkening in the eyes. Which seems to hint — it is not worth being treated in front of an enemy. In general, such a system adds a certain immersiveness and promotes immersion. Although this is not the level of Gun Slinger.

A separate line from everything is the endurance of our protégé. At the beginning of the game, there is a persistent feeling that we are playing for a COMPLETE dystrophan who is not able to step 2 steps without being out of breath. What can we say about lifting something heavier than a box of matches. But this feeling is deceptive. In fact, a completely healthy, well-fed and, most importantly, a well-rested Marked Person may well give himself a head start from the original.

And in the presence of a good suit and a couple of the right artifacts, and generally go beyond the ordinary human capabilities.

But the artifacts still need to be found. And although they are still lying right under your feet, their number has decreased considerably. And each new appearance is strictly tied to regular emissions. The most delicious curiosities are also located mainly in the northernmost locations. And at least somehow it helps to increase your well-being that regular harvesting of the "harvest". And this is logical! We are still primarily a stalker and collecting artifacts is almost our direct responsibility. Moreover, they can be exchanged for almost anything. The only question is how valuable the find turned out to be.

In my case, not very
In my case, not very
Golden mountains are definitely not worth waiting for from the most banal "jellyfish". And pick it up from the "floor" without being prepared, too. Not only do many artifacts "phonate" and a special container is needed to carry them, but also when they are taken into the handles, they "reward" their new owner with a blow of abnormal energy. Sometimes so strong that you can move horses.

The economy in NLC is tied not only to artifacts. Almost everything here has its own value. Even an almost extinct dog's tail will find its use. Especially in conditions when even a loaf of bread can be worth its weight in gold. It is clear that with each passing day, the player grows more and more "fat" in the form of consumables and equipment. But even closer to the end of the game, I really don't want to waste supplies. Saving should be economical.

A piece of my cache at the end of the game
A piece of my cache at the end of the game
Especially in conditions of constant barter, when vodka can not only make a character drowsy and remove radiation, but also change it for cartridges and weapons from a cunning ensign. Killed in the trash, we drag the armor to the local junk dealer for such precious medicine. Well, unnecessary pieces of mutants are always replaced by a fraction of hunters. The main thing is to know who, where and what you are carrying.

And try not to fly into an anomaly along the way. Who really like to change their location after ejection, sometimes completely blocking previously free passages. At the same time, eloquently and clearly showing why running in NLC is often a fatal mistake. There is no more imb detector, which with its obsessive "pee-pee-pee-pee" warns about the nearest traps. In general, of course, there are detectors, but they react exclusively to one single most disgusting dirty trick, whose name is "jelly". While to detect all the other ugliness, you will have to rely on your own eyes, on your own ears and, of course, on the old, time-tested bolts.

Although not anomalies will be the main pain in the ass of the player throughout the passage. Oh, noooo! Please love and favor (NO!) - JERBOA

By the end of the passage, the counter of killed carcasses exceeds two and a half thousand
Packs, hordes, hordes of these creatures will pursue the Marked wherever he goes. And together with them, side by side, there will always be someone bigger. It is for the extermination of mutants that a sufficiently richly presented arsenal of weapons is so necessary. Each of the local freaks has its own habitat zones, habits and at least one unique ability. The ubiquitous Dushkans, with a successful "kus", always let the blood flow. Pseudo-dogs do not allow themselves to aim normally. The boars are just oozing with "radeyka". And the bloodsuckers... It's better not to meet with bloodsuckers at all.

So, it's been more than a year since the Subverse went public and all this time it was replenished with content and very much transformed!.. Isn't that right?
Well, let's rub some old wounds.

What's new?
First of all, new characters:
The Haughty elf — Ela
Lustful catgirl — Taron
And a fighting gnome Owl

Everyone, of course, has a whole pack of various animations, the only disappointing thing is that Taron somehow doesn't have enough of them and relaunches old animations with the substitution of other characters.

We can use all these waifs in air and ground battles, the new Persians have their own unique skills, but there are no drastic changes in the gameplay, we can also either participate in a space shutemap, or in a simple turn-based strategy. Except that new monsters were added for the strategic mode. Some can be bought, but most of them will have to be knocked out in additional missions. And these monsters are also needed for animations, if you are a sick bastard who likes big, spiked bolts and slimy tentacles, then don't worry, no one will judge you here and there is still enough of such content.

Now if for some reason you are wondering what kind of half-naked creatures constantly want to get your sword out of the scabbard, then you can talk to each of them and learn more about their personality than they like to develop their sexual openings and other "interesting" information (well, seriously, someone this can help to better immerse yourself in the atmosphere)

But now you can not only talk to our motley team, but also go on a date, which in fact is just pumping the level of your relationship, as the game progresses you get different artifacts that you can give and the more suitable gift you give, the more points you get.

Not the most fun entertainment, let's be honest
Not the most fun entertainment, let's be honest
These glasses are needed to unlock poses in the local podium. Now we have not only Pandora, where we can choose a pack of animations and enjoy a visual feast, but also a gallery in the bar, where you can choose different poses, angles, backgrounds and a color filter. And then you can take a picture of all this and view it in your room.

Cover up the shame!

The main company has made some progress so that we receive new ladies in portions. New zones for exploration have been opened on the global map, a bunch of side quests have been added and a lot of little things have been finalized. Except for downloads. Downloads still take up half of your time in the hub and appear almost after every click.
The plot is also something about humorous, with farting-jerking jokes, in general for an amateur. But the cut scenes hold the bar and mostly look good.

They are also going to add alternative skins or looks to the game, but so far only android DEVI has the opportunity to change its appearance, now it's just colored textures in red, but let's hope that something more extravagant awaits us in the future.

So far, the difference is not impressive

In general, the game is still developing and gives the necessary content to society, animations will soon begin to be imported that can be twisted in different directions, which should please Anton and Gleb, but so far there is only one such animation, and then with the postscript "demo". As for me, the development is somehow slow, it is clear that the authors are more versed in creating animations, not programming, but at the moment the latest version of the game comes with a 0.5 note, so at this rate the game will be finished for at least another year. Let's hope that Studio FOW has a lot of content in development, because so far there is very little of it, if you do not take into account a bunch of grind side missions, then the game takes 5-6 hours at most (and if you like me do not want to grind, then download cheat engin)

It's cool sometimes to get together with a group of friends and have a beer in some morodoboy. But the disappointing thing is that in any company there will always be a Trah-Trahych who is familiar with the mechanics of the game and knows a couple of tricks, which is why he takes out everyone without a chance. This is due to the fact that popular fighting games such as TEKKEN, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter are complex games that require thoughtful study and memorization of combos. But there is a certain layer of fighting games in which the skill does not play such a big role, and as for me, it's more fun to play such games in the company. But most of them were published by bandai nyamka, so welcome to the world of anime, but first I'll explain how the examples I presented differ from classic fighting games.

In fact, there is only one key difference - almost the same imput. That is, no matter what kind of hero you play, you always press the same buttons and combinations, which makes it much easier to master the game and in the first couple of hours you remember all the tricks and controls.
Well, let's get started.

MULTIVERSUS & BRAWHALLA

The first two is the so-called - dick understand as the so-called analogues of super smash. These fighting games focus on vertical gameplay and have one feature. There is no life bar here, but there is a repulsion from blows, which increases depending on the damage received. The more demage you have absorbed, the more you will be repelled. And as it is not difficult to guess, the point is to push the opponent, as a rule you have several lives, and you can play in the company of up to 4 players (in brawhalla you can have more). These two games are better than smash for one simple reason - these games are on PC)))
Well, seriously, these are cool analogues of the famous fighting game from Nintendo, but it's unlikely that you will have as many as 4 gamepads on the party, and the skill here everything matters and playing 1n1 against an experienced player will not be too fun, so let's move on to the rest of the games.

naruto shippuden ultimate ninja storm 4 & my hero one's justice

Damn these Japanese with their long names. As some have already guessed, these two fighting games are made based on the (almost) anime of the same name and are played entirely in 3D. But if a series of games about Naruto has been coming out for 15 years, then hero games are new to the market. What is reflected in the quality of animations and the number of characters, there are more than a HUNDRED characters in Naruto, of course they cannot be called completely unique, I am silent about the fact that only Naruto himself has 7 different versions, but they are all extremely elaborate and use techniques from anime that were transferred to the game almost one-on-one. In the hero, the characters are only under 30, but they are more diverse.

Okay, let's be more specific, there are two variants of the game in Naruto, 3na3 or 1na1, of course we are talking about the number of characters, not players. In order not to get too steamed up with the combinations and passive skills that the characters give when playing 3h3, we will consider only the 1h1 mode. It's worth starting with the fact that we only have one attack button, isn't it cool? The joke is that in this game there is an emphasis on movement, dodging and blocking the opponent's techniques. In addition to the usual attack, the game has grapples that break through the block and an ability that is used for chakra, local mana. And also the ulta, which is difficult to hit, but when hit, an awesome animation of how you kick the ass of the enemy will be lost. It seems that this is not enough, but there are still different protection mechanics: substitution and reflection. By clicking substitution, you will spend one substitution scale, so you can dodge any attack or ability, this scale is filled when taking damage or when not taking damage for a long time.

There are two life scales in the game, and below them is the chakra scale, which is charged by pressing the button. The red dot is the amount of chakva required for the ulta. And even below the substitution strip.
There are two life scales in the game, and below them is the chakra scale, which is charged by pressing the button. The red dot is the amount of chakva required for the ulta. And even below the substitution strip.
Reflection is a last resort technique when you have run out of substitutions. When using it, one fourth scale of the chakra will be taken away from you, which will then gradually fill up. Reflection will allow you to throw the enemy away, but only if he hit you with a jerk or a normal attack.
Sosss, and now jerks, when using the chakra and jump tips, you can quickly move to or from the enemy. And in fact, this is the key mechanics and the main way of movement. Because this jerk has an auto target, but if you start hitting the wrong place, the character will not adjust automatically, or when the opponent uses substitution, he turns out to be behind you and your character does not turn in his direction. So, in order to eliminate the substitution, you can quickly press the jerk and not let the enemy hit you. With proper handling of jerks, you become an elusive killing machine, but this is the only mechanics that you need to master and it is not difficult to do, you just need to get used to it a little. In fact, there are two more mechanics, these are metatl weapons and awakening. Awakening is activated when you have a little less than half of HP left and allows you to enter the ultimate form, in which you deal more damage and reflect projectiles, some characters change abilities or add new ones. About the characters who turn into big monsters, I'd rather keep silent, let it be a surprise.

Okay, I'm lying, it won't. Look at this huge beast. In fact, with the right approach, you can easily beat even such a monster. And if you hit an awakened character with an ulta, then you can instantly take him out of this mode.
Okay, I'm lying, it won't. Look at this huge beast. In fact, with the right approach, you can easily beat even such a monster. And if you hit an awakened character with an ulta, then you can instantly take him out of this mode.
And throwing weapons, which are actually useless for most characters, since they cause scanty damage, are suitable only to prevent the enemy from restoring the chakra or knocking down the ability. There are still consumables, but I don't use them in principle, let me tell you about one finished feature of anime fighting games. In fact, the characters can perform another additional technique, but it is done very strangely: you need to reject the stick and quickly press the strike button or quickly reject it and return it to its normal position, then press the strike button, I myself if the dick knows how this thing works, but not to say that the techniques are very useful, so this can be ignored.
The characters can be globally divided into three classes: near, far and puppeteers. With the neighbors, I think everything is clear, the dalniks can perform a long chain of combos with spam throwing weapons, but the puppeteers are already more interesting. They control dolls that can move separately from the owner, you need to get used to them, but with this approach, you can normally so infuriate your opponents, but I still wouldn't advise playing for them.
And what else is good about Naruto is the ability to set up a handicap, that is, if you still have some kind of nerd in your company, you can reduce the damage inflicted and carry away the damage they receive.

Even I asked a lot about Naruto, I will try not to delay with the hero. There is also a 3na3 mode, but unlike Naruto, where the heroes give passive effects, and you can also change between characters, in the hero they just beat the enemy and that's it, so we will again consider the 1na1 mode. As I wrote above, here the characters will already be more unique, each of them has 3 three strikes, one normal and two abilities. But I deceived you, because here we also have this finished activation of reception through the rejection of the stick and here it will not work to score on it. So we have two more abilities and an alternative attack, during which you are colored with the color of gold, this attack cannot be knocked down by a normal attack.

But you can hit while the block is clamped, such a combination activates a red attack, which can be knocked down by the usual, but not gold. As a result, it turns out a kind of game of stone scissors paper, where one technique counteracts the other.

And now about the scale PLUS ULTRA and overclocking. By pressing overclocking, you obviously accelerate and start running faster, but this is not a jerk like in Naruto, here the characters themselves pull up to the enemy during the attack, so overclocking does not have an auto target, so you need to use it carefully, but in fact it is needed for a more important thing, namely to spend scale plus ultra. It is charged for dealing and receiving damage. This scale is spent to continue the chain of combos, you can pinch the jerk and spam the usual attack indefinitely until you run out of scale or until you break through the opponent's block. This scale can also be used to apply one of two ults, for one or two charges

But it's better not to use ulta, because in such games ulta is a visual feast during which you just enjoy the gorgeous animation as your character knocks all the s**t out of your friend, and in Naruto the ultimates are gorgeous, but in the hero it's some kind of despondency.
In general, this is the same dynamic fighting game as Naruto, only with more gameplay-diverse heroes.

In general, this is all I wanted to tell you, you can throw OnePiece burning blood and the relatively recently released Demon Slayer Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- into the furnace for the "Bandaiv" fighting games.

There are also all sorts of JOJO ALL STARS BATTLE (although as for me it's some kind of sad s**t) Killer Instinct, Injustice 2, Skullgirls. However, I haven't played these games specifically, so I'm not sure about their "casualness", but if I were you, I would just give up on everything and buy Dead or Alive, and then roll a n**e mod. I'm sure the boys will appreciate it.
