Here are some thoughts from Andy...

Jesus came to save us because we cannot obtain righteousness before God in our own strength.

Jesus IS the righteousness of God, therefore trying to imitate Him in our strength is also hopeless.

But if we set our gaze on Him, we will be changed simply by beholding His glory. We will be in awe as Isaiah was in Isaiah 6:5.
