Why does sending a Christmas Cards even matter anymore, when I can send a message for free? Sending a personal, handwritten message, whether through the post, or by hand, shows someone you have been thinking of them and that you care. Sending a card with a Christian message is a simple way to share the real Christmas story, and people are far more open to hearing about Jesus at this time of year.
Why buy from a small business when I can buy much cheaper cards in the shops? True, you can certainly buy mass produced cards cheaper in the shops. Buying small supports small businesses, and means you are buying something that is that little bit more unique. All my card is FSC approved, and can be recycled. Why not cut out the images and turn them into labels for next year!

I have FINALLY completed my study of the Book of Hebrews! It has been a bit stop-start, but I have learned so much!
I think I come alive a little when I am learning from the Bible. I love to glean things I would never have picked out by reading alone.
I use my Illuminated Bible books to highlight and make notes first, as there's lots of space for writing, and then I have copied them into my new Bible. Reading through my notes again, and rewriting them, reminds me again of what I have learned.
Very brief summary... Jesus is the best, and offers the better way, in every way! And once you know Jesus, keep going and running the race. No turning back!

Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross has cast our sins so far away that they are never seen again.
We are completely forgiven. Every sin and transgression washed away.
God does not hold our sins against us. But the enemy will and does. He is the accuser - not God.
The truth of God's forgiveness totally overshadows the lies of the enemy.
Because of the grace of Jesus, we can live in freedom all the days of our lives, knowing that no sin can overshadow us.
God's goodness is running after us.
His goodness and mercy pursues us.
Will you REST in the knowledge that you are wholly free from guilt and shame because it has all been covered in the blood of Jesus.

King Solomon acknowledged that there is no God like our God. none could compare with the LORD. Other gods demanded obedience and loyalty from the people, but offered no real commitment in return. A covenant of love was a totally foreign concept.
Many Gods offer much, but are not what they claim to be. No other god has ever entered into a covenantal relationship with their followers.
And as Christ followers, we now have a New Covenant, bought and paid for in full with the blood of the Son, offering us direct access to the Father, who loves us so much,
that He gave His Son.
That's our God!

In Peter's letter, he called Christian women to live in response to their new identity. Jesus Christ fully demonstrated the true beauty of humility as He lived a perfectly humble and servant-hearted life.
As we live our lives imitating Jesus' own gentle and quiet spirit, we get a glimpse into eternity of the greater and imperishable beauty that we represent.
Our true beauty lies inside our heart.

As Christians, we should strive to live peaceably with one another.
Peace is one of the Fruits of the Spirit that we should all aim to have within us.
But how can we 'keep the peace' in a world that is anything but peaceful?
There are two 'conditions' that Paul teaches us in his letter to the Romans. Firstly he says, 'if it is possible', and secondly, 'as far as it depends on you'.
We cannot control other people's reactions, and there are many situations that we have no influence over.
But as far as we are able, we should try to act with grace, patience, and self control, and respond in peace.
We can learn to control how we act, and retain our own peace, even in the midst of turmoil.
Jesus said, 'blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God'.
The world is full of noise and opinions, and we do not always need to add our voice to the dialogue. Let all that we say be seasoned with grace.
Be aware of situations that try to steal your peace, and when you feel as though you are losing it, return your attention to Jesus, the Prince of Peace, take a good, deep breath, and speak the name of Jesus.
May the peace of God be with you.

We plan our days and schedules.
We set reminders, so that we do not forget something important.
We wish time away to get to some illusive time when everything will be okay.
We get so busy with 'stuff' that we do not make time for the most important things or people.
Learn to seek God's Presence as a priority, not thinking of what's still to be done, but focus on Him outside of our plans and timetables. And then the demands become manageable, and the stresses of the day reduce.
The Lord is worth spending time with.

NEW CARD IN SHOP
Do you remember back in Lockdown #1 and Kari Jobe's The Blessing was released? The bridge used to give me the shivers, and I cried every time I heard it.
The lyrics that used to speak prophetically to me were:

My eldest daughter was married a month before Lockdown, and my other daughter was planning her wedding, which happened to be just as Lockdown #1 ended.
This blessing over my family, which has grown with the addition of my two wonderful sons-in-law, who I love so much, and speaking into my future grandchildren (oh how I am ready and looking forward to this next stage in our family!!), and even their children.....
