Artist Bio:
Mário Henriques started making music in 1993 and two years later he created the project Huma-noyd live.
From the start, the project was known as infectious and full of character, quickly gaining fans within the underground techno scene in Portugal and beyond.
His unique and strong Techno and Tech House music-style has such energy and power that leaves no one oblivious to it.
His sets are unforgettable, featuring a unique sound that resembles no one else.
Huma-Noyd’s facts and history:
In 1997 the project was included in the biggest electronic music festival to date in Portugal (Algarve’s Neptunus), where Huma-Noyd shared the stage with major international figures including Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, Dj Sneak and Green Velvet to name a few. The project went on to be included at X-Club The Agency, the most prominent Dj agency at the time in Portugal and went on to feature in most major dance related events, with regular attendance at the main nightclubs around Portugal and Spain.
In 1998 the project started his own Label named " Monophonik Recordings" and 3 years later opened a record and merchandise store with the same name.
2011 saw a new opportunity for his career with the world renowned label " Kne'deep “, personally invited by owner and world famous DJ Rush. Huma-Noyd went on to also feature at DJ Rush’s Berlin based agency, a testimony of the quality of his music and live performances. His presence at international events increased substantially after this appointment, seeing Huma-Noyd at Tomorrowland festival (arguably the biggest dance music event on the planet) for 4 consecutive years, as well as appearances at Awakenings festival in Holland and performances at internationally known clubs such as Tresor in Berlin, U60311 in Frankfurt, Fabrik in Madrid, Florida 135 in Barcelona and Smart Bar in Chicago, amongst others.
In 2012, Huma-noyd accepted his greatest challenge: a project called "DJ Rush United!”, creating a new and exciting event concept. The project is headed by the legendary Dj Rush alongside Huma-noyd live and J.Fernandes.
UNITED presents a unique selection of techno, tribal, funky and groovy style that reflects the sound of these three artists.
By doing so, DJ Rush United brings joy, fun and energy back into the dance floor!
2013 saw H&R Joint (Huma-Noyd & DJ Rush) back together with a global and exciting new sound. Their track “That’s More Like It!” is still within Kne’deep’s top ten track sales to date.
In March 2015 “Good Time Records” label is created. A label very close to some of his friends and himself in terms of releases.
In 2020 and during the pandemic, an old project comes back to life and another label is born: “Conforme”. This label aims to release the better work and help improving the overall quality of releases within electronic music genre. It is focused on artists whose projects feature the most character and sound innovation.
In 2023, one more label: “Outset”. This label is exclusively directed to Techno sound and aims to take this genre globally, through a rigorous selection towards quality.
Currently with various ongoing projects, including invitation to enter the books of Belgium’s based agency Technopia.
Huma-Noyd is always committed to his music as he performs around the world, is a journey into the world of musical energy and rhythm, where great sound is the key for success. He continues his saga, presenting his incredibly special musical style. This project takes its public to a musical journey, full of rhythm and energy.
