Will Huck get pulled back out from under the cover?

Will Monster Mike get a second errr fourth chance to redeem himself?

Would you take your Bronco off road?

In this episode Monster Mike finds Huck's limits and its got several tests to go through. Each one it will be judged and the Duck will be there to laugh if it fails!

Huck is proving itself to be a shiny turd with its stock 3:55 gears, outdated 4 speed over drive Tremec transmission and 650 Edelbrock carburetor.

And if that doesn't aggravate you enough then the exhaust and axle wrap trying to kill the rear driveshaft will!

Monster Mike has been beating on Huck relentlessly so he can figure out how to make this Bronco more capable and A LOT more enjoyable.

Will Huck ever be more than a shiny turd? Keep watching and see if Huck will get the Jesse James KO monster garage treatment or redeemed and reborn.

I'm your Huckleberry - Project Huck Episode 1

Whether it is your first purchase or your 10th, buying Broncos, fixing them up and keeping them fun & safe is a challenge!

Follow Monster Mike and his adventure of owning a new Bronco.

Meet Huck! A 1972 Ford Bronco. Huck is what many Bronco people would call a Restomod. What is a Restomod? The term typically refers to a Classic vehicle that is restored with modern and/or creature comforts. This term also refers to modifying or altering the look of the vehicle typically to modernize it or make it more functional. When it comes to Classic Broncos, they came with the rear fender straight across the top of the rear tire which heavily limited the Broncos options for different wheels and larger tires. It was very common for dealerships and owners to cut the back fender opening out and add fender flares. This is where the term cut and uncut for Classic Broncos was born. As you can see, Huck has cut fenders at all four fender openings. Some Bronco only have the rear fenders cut w/ flares since the front fenders come from the factory with plenty of clearance until you get past a 33". You can get away with not cutting the body while adding larger tires but it does require more suspension lift and rolling the inside lip of the rear fender. When doing this the term LUBR was born. Lifted Uncut BRonco.

1972 Ford Bronco. 302 small block Ford V8, Duffy long tube Torquer headers, Magnaflow dual exhaust, Tremec 4 speed overdrive, Dana 20 transfer case (T style), Ford 9 inch Big Bearing drum brake axle with currie 31 spline axle shafts (factor axles were 28 spline) w/ a Detroit locker. Dana 44 front axle with a GM power front disc brake conversion and 3:55 factory gears. Daytona Metallic Blue and Silver paint, 3.5" James Duff Ultimate suspension system, Mickey Thompson BajaClaw 33x12.50 tires and 16x10 Dick Cepek aluminum wheels. The interior has a Corbeau Baja RS suspension seat package, 6 point roll cage, SS lift off hinges & an Ididit SS polished tilt steering column

In the case of Classic Broncos, the possibilities for a Restomod are ENDLESS! This can be a double edged sword though as it is very easy to choose the wrong parts over and over again until you end up with a poor functioning BLING MONSTER. Yuck! You also have to be very careful with what you decide to do, as your new passion and excitement for the Bronco can slowly die as it turns into a lengthy expensive project taking up space in the garage with hardly any great memories of you and your friends and family enjoying it.

Huck is far from perfect like most Broncos who've existed for over 50 years. Between the rust, accidents, questionable bodywork/paint and parts purchased and installed along the way, it is easy to pick most Broncos apart. The goal for Huck is to focus on making it safe and fun on and off road and ENJOY IT!
