*Important decisions taken at the 2nd meeting of GoM on today. *

1. All existing visas, except diplomatic, official, UN/International Organizations, employment, project visas, stand suspended till 15th April 2020. This will come into effect from 1200 GMT on 13th March 2020 at the port of departure.

2. Visa free travel facility granted to OCI card holders is kept in abeyance till April 15th 2020. This will come into effect from 1200 GMT on 13th March 2020 at the port of departure.

3. Any foreign national who intends to travel to India for compelling reason may contact the nearest Indian Mission.

4. All incoming travelers, including Indians, arriving from or having visited China,Italy,Iran,Republic of Korea, France, Spain & Germany after 15th Feb, 2020 shall be quarantined for a minimum period of 14 days. The above will come into effect from 1200 GMT on 13th March 2020 at the port of departure.

5. Incoming travelers, including Indian nationals, are advised to avoid non-essential travel and are informed that they can be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days on their arrival in India.

6. Indian nationals are strongly advised to avoid all non-essential travel abroad. On their return, they can be subjected to quarantine for a minimum of 14 days.

7. International traffic through land borders will be restricted to Designated check posts with robust screening facilities. These will be notified separately by M/o Home Affairs.

8. Provision for testing primarily for students/compassionate cases in Italy to be made and collection for samples to be organized accordingly. Those tested negative will be allowed to travel and will be quarantined on arrival in India for 14 days.

26 मे रोजी मतमोजणी: राज्य निवडणूक आयुक्त
मुंबई, दि. 19: पनवेल, भिवंडी-निजामपूर व मालेगाव महानगरपालिकांच्या सार्वत्रिक निवडणुकांसाठी 24 मे 2017 रोजी मतदान; तर 26 मे 2017 रोजी मतमोजणी होईल. त्यासाठी संबंधित महानगरपालिकांच्या क्षेत्रांत आजपासून आचारसंहिता लागू झाली आहे, अशी घोषणा राज्य निवडणूक आयुक्त ज. स. सहारिया यांनी आज येथे केली.
आयोगाच्या कार्यालयात झालेल्या पत्रकार परिषदेत ते बोलत होते. आयोगाचे सचिव शेखर चन्ने यावेळी उपस्थित होते. श्री. सहारिया यांनी सांगितले की, नवनिर्मित पनवेल महानगरपालिकेची ही पहिलीच सार्वत्रिक निवडणूक आहे. भिवंडी-निजामपूर महानगरपालिकेची मुदत 10 जून 2017; तर मालेगाव महानगरपालिकेची मुदत 14 जून 2017 रोजी संपत आहे. भारत निवडणूक आयोगाने 5 जानेवारी 2017 रोजी प्रसिद्ध केलेली विधानसभा मतदार संघाची मतदार यादी या निवडणुकांसाठी वापरली जाणार आहे.
एकूण 64 प्रभागातील 252 जागांसाठी निवडणूक होत असून इच्छूक उमेदवारांना नामनिर्देशनपत्रे सादर करण्यासाठी संगणकीय प्रणालीची सुविधा उपलब्ध करून देण्यात येणार आहे. नामनिर्देशनपत्रे दाखल करण्याची मुदत 29 एप्रिल 2017 पासून 6 मे 2017 पर्यंत असेल. रविवारी (ता. 30 एप्रिल 2017) नामनिर्देशनपत्रे स्वीकारण्यात येतील; परंतु 1 मे 2017 च्या सुट्टीच्या दिवशी नामनिर्देशनपत्रे स्वीकारण्यात येणार नाहीत, असेही श्री. सहारिया यांनी स्पष्ट केले.

Bhiwandi boy comes Second in CA exams

Of the 74,096 candidates who appeared for the final Chartered Accountant (CA) exam held in December 2016, 7,192 have cleared it. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the result on January 17 and the top three rank holders are from Lucknow, Bhiwandi and Ahmedabad, respectively.

Piyush Ramesh Lohia from Bhiwandi scored 574/800 (71.75%) and secured the second rank.

The test, held at 382 centres across the country, had 37,200 candidates appearing for the Group I test and 36,896 candidates for the Group II test. In Group I, 7.14% came out with flying colours and Group II saw 12.32% succeed.

Four members of a Bhandup family died after a Maruti Esteem car they were travelling in hit a divider and rammed into a tempo at Bhiwandi, near Mumbai, late on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Vasant Arjun Kadre,63, his two sons Sachin, 31, Amit, 35, and Amit’s wife, Sumita, 30. All are residents of Tulsipada in Bhandup

The Kadres were coming back from Nashik to Bhandup. After losing control of the car, Amit rammed it into a tempo coming from the opposite direction. The car was driven along Mankoli Diva Road at Narpoli, Bhiwandi . The tempo driver who was grievously injured was identified as Bimlesh Pal,31, a Thane resident.

A police officer from Narpoli police station said, “It took some time for us to extricate bodies from the badly mangled car.”

The victims were taken first to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital and then to Thane civil hospital. The later succumbed to injuries. “Pal is also serious. We have informed the family members and that the tempo driver has been charged under relevant sections. After post-mortems, the bodies were handed over to the family,” said the officer.

Bhiwandi-Nizampura municipal commissioner E Ravindran has instructed the five ward officers to vacate and demolish all condemned buildings in their jurisdiction or they will held responsible for any casualty if another building collapses.

Since the first of the three house collapse incidents in the last 10 days, the BNMC has added eight more buildings to its list of 17 "very very dangerous" buildings, taking the total to 25. These have to be razed.

"Of the 25, four have been demolished and parts of 10 have been knocked down. Of the remaining 11, three are entangled in court cases and we will approach their residents to vacate the buildings," said Bipin Sapte, head of the city development department of BNMC.

Ravindran, holding additional charge as BNMC commissioner along with that of Kalyan-Dombivli municipal corporation, appealed to citizens to co-operate with the officers.

At a meeting on Monday evening, Ravindran told the officers to list the most dangerous buildings and demolish them or some parts to ensure people cannot stay in them.

The Mahadev building that collapsed near Shastrinagar on Sunday was not condemned but was on the list of "very dangerous" buildings, meaning they have to be evacuated and immediately repaired. Jittery officials now plan to review the condition of the 206 buildings on this list.

They claimed they had disconnected its water supply and electricity in July to force people out, but they came back. An accidental death report has been filed in the case since owner Sajjanlal Gupta died in the collapse.

Some portion of a ground plus three storied building collapsed down injuring three people in Bhiwandi. This third case related to building collapse in power loom Bhiwandi city, in last 10 days taking lives of so far 16 people and injuring over 30 people.

The latest incident took place on Monday morning, in Nai Basti area in Bhiwandi in which some portion of a slab collapsed down injuring three residents. The injured are identified as Fidar Vahab Khan, 40, Tan Billa,35 and Sikandar, 32.

Following the incident, other residents escaped from building to avoid any untoward incident. The building is said to be in the list of most dangerous building list issued by local Bhiwandi-Nizampura Municipal corporation.

The real hero of yesterday's Tragedy in Bhiwandi who saved many lives even while he Injured himself

: महाराष्ट्र के ठाणे के भिवंडी में रविवार को एक पुराने दो मंजिले मकान के ढह जाने से मकान मालिक और उसकी पत्नी सहित आठ लोगों की मौत हो गई. इस दौरान पास के ‘बाबा बिस्सी मजदूरों का भोजनालय’ में बावर्ची का काम करने वाले रमजान अली ने अपनी जान की फिक्र किए बिना कई जिंगगियों को बचा लिया.

दरअसल, रमजान अली नाम के इस शख्स को महादेव बिल्डिंग में दरारें दिखाई दी. बिल्डिंग बिलकुल जर्जर हो चुकी थी और वह कभी भी गिर सकती थी. यही सोचकर रमजान बिल्डिंग में घुस गए और सभी को एक-एक कर बाहर निकाला.

रमजान को पता था कि जिस बिल्डिंग में वह खुद जा रहे हैं वो किसी भी वक्त गिर सकती है. बावजूद इसके रमजान अंदर गए और कई जिंदगियों को बचा लिया. हालांकि ऐसा करने में वे खुद को बचाते रहे लेकिन गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए. उन्हें आईजीएम हॉस्पिटल के इमरजेंसी वॉर्ड में भर्ती कराया गया है.

रमजान अली जहां वह कई लोगों की जान बचाने में कामयाब रहे, वहीं उन्हें इस बात का अफसोस है कि वह मकान मालिक को सूचित करने के बाद भी नहीं बचा पाए. इससे पहेल मुंबई नगरनिगम ने इस बिल्डिंग में रहने वाले आठ परिवारों को बिल्डिंग खाली करने के लिए कई बार नोटिस दिया था. लेकिन नोटिस के बावजूद इन परिवारों ने बिल्डिंग खाली नहीं की.

इमारत गिरने की सूचना के बाद राज्य के सार्वजनिक निर्माण विभाग एवं ठाणे जिला के पालक मंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे मौके पर पहुंचे. मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए उन्होंने शहर की सभी जर्जर इमारतों को तोड़ने के निर्देश दिए.

शिंदे ने मनपा आधिकारियों से कहा कि धोखादायक इमारतों में रहने वाले लोगों को इमारत खाली करने से पहले उन्हें मनपा की तरफ से लिखित रूप से आश्वासन दिया जाए कि नई इमारत बनने पर सबसे पहले उन्हें जगह दी जाएगी.
