OMOBELLA PALACE DRAMA SERIES

Omobella is a drama series that evolves around an Italian and Nigerian couple. They own a fusion restaurant catering to a diverse, metropolitan audience. Filled with comedy, suspense, intrigue, plot twists and turns, Omobella is engaging, informative, entertaining and also brings to light challenges that entrepreneurs face. Angela, a rude but indispensable waitress who speaks Jamaican patois when provoked, is among the diverse cast. The restaurant is named after Omo or Bella, daughter of the couple, hence Omobella. Omo means ‘girl’ in Yoruba, and Bella means ‘beautiful’ in Italian. Omobella the socialite, can sing, act, dance, model and brings over celebrities, performs on special occasions or just to entertain at the upscale North American restaurant.

Consummate professionals are dedicated to producing Omobella Palace, with an experienced crew. A great venue has been identified with filming to take place in the third week of January. Non-union actors or those who can obtain waivers are welcome to audition. Selected principal actors shall continue with the series when it is time to produce a full season and more. OMOBELLA THEMATIC CONCEPTS Omobella Palace is a place to relax, network, have fun and eat great Italian and African food, among other global cuisines. The customers have personalities that bring to life the reality of what people face, including immigrants trying to survive in the big city. Many resort to Omobella Palace for comfort or solace. Their experiences are a part of the thematic concepts for each episode. Mama Bella is the matriarch of Omobella Palace, and is ‘aunty’ or mother figure to many patrons. Papa Bella is a chef, manager and a jolly good fellow, whom everyone wants for a dad, friend or relative. He can be found mostly in the kitchen and in the restaurant office. One is Italian, the other African and can be played by whoever is pertinent. Omobella is also a trans-generational meeting place, with mentoring and the warmth of uncles, aunties and others, which exist in Italian and African families.
