Andddddd she’s back✨ here’s a mini life update!

- I was away for the month of May (and into June) as I was travelling through Europe. It was truly a trip of a lifetime and I can’t wait to share some of those photos with you all! 💓🌍

- I turned 25 and had the most beautiful time celebrating my birthday in one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever seen! I also seriously can’t believe I’m 25. Does anyone else feel like the tears are just flying by? Also, quarter life crises are no joke… 😵‍💫

- I started working on an incredible project with that I am so excited about! It’s a Caribbean-inspired, comedic variety show that’s coming to toronto this summer starting on July 19th 💓🫶🏾

- I just stopped posting. I seriously just needed a break from social media and was tired of feeding into the 24/7 hustle, “post 304 time a day even if it kills you” culture that exists, especially within the SMM community. I was exhausting myself trying to show up on here consistently — while also balancing client work, my creator account, and life. So I just stopped. And that’s okay! Social media managers get exhausted with social media too, I promise you lol the pressure to constantly create, sell, and serve your audience is overwhelming and it just. isn’t. my. vibe. ✨

Oh, the places you'll go. A year ago, I had just launched my website, announced my business, and had absolutely no idea what I was doing.⁠

A year later, I still don't really know what I'm doing, but I am in absolute awe of how far I've come, what I've accomplished, and the person I am blossoming into every day. ⁠
⁠
If you would have told me at the beginning of 2021 that I would've left my full-time job and survived a year in business, I wouldn't have been able to imagine it let alone believe it. A young, Black woman from Edmonton with nothing but a laptop, some gifts and skills, and the willpower to transform my life. ⁠
⁠
This past year has had its share challenges. It was never easy, it was never glamorous. It was tiring, and long, and stressful, and beautiful, and crushing. But in all things, I continued to press forward by the grace of God and the support of those around me.⁠
⁠
After a year in business, and many years in this great field I call home, I've learned one thing: I'm going on. Moving on. Pressing on. No matter the challenges I face, pivots I make, roadblocks I meet — I can rise up from anything. And so can you.⁠
⁠
I still have so much I want to do, be, and explore. What a beautiful gift life is in that we are always evolving, always blossoming, always becoming. I am so excited for the future — the things I'll do, the people I'll encounter, and the places I'll go.⁠

Thank you all for being on this journey with me. Thank you for the love you have lavished on me, online and off, over the course of this last year. I am, and will forever be, eternally grateful.⁠ ⁠
