Oh, the places you'll go. A year ago, I had just launched my website, announced my business, and had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
A year later, I still don't really know what I'm doing, but I am in absolute awe of how far I've come, what I've accomplished, and the person I am blossoming into every day.
If you would have told me at the beginning of 2021 that I would've left my full-time job and survived a year in business, I wouldn't have been able to imagine it let alone believe it. A young, Black woman from Edmonton with nothing but a laptop, some gifts and skills, and the willpower to transform my life.
This past year has had its share challenges. It was never easy, it was never glamorous. It was tiring, and long, and stressful, and beautiful, and crushing. But in all things, I continued to press forward by the grace of God and the support of those around me.
After a year in business, and many years in this great field I call home, I've learned one thing: I'm going on. Moving on. Pressing on. No matter the challenges I face, pivots I make, roadblocks I meet — I can rise up from anything. And so can you.
I still have so much I want to do, be, and explore. What a beautiful gift life is in that we are always evolving, always blossoming, always becoming. I am so excited for the future — the things I'll do, the people I'll encounter, and the places I'll go.
Thank you all for being on this journey with me. Thank you for the love you have lavished on me, online and off, over the course of this last year. I am, and will forever be, eternally grateful.
Here's to year 1 of , and many beautiful years to come.
