The organisers of internationally renowned heavy metal festival, Metal for the Brain, were inducted in the Music ACT Hall of Fame on Tuesday evening.
The festival was founded by Joel Green and was run by members of the band Armoured Angel and Alchemist to raise money for brain injury research after their friend Alec Hurley was punched in the head in Civic and suffered severe and permanent brain damage.
Metal for the Brain ran in Canberra from 1991 to 2006 and drew acts from around the country and the world.
