My Daily Prayer Heavenly Father, help me lay my struggles in your feet. Amen!

The picture is composed of 4 images of the same icon of Jesus Christ the High Priest. The icon shows the sacrifice of the Eucharist. Jesus Christ is the Priest, the altar and the sacrifice. Our Lord offers his body on the altar of the cross and the same time acts as the High Priest who intercedes for all human beings.

We share our ministerial priesthood with Christ, which is ought to be shared to the faithful. As priests of Christ, we represent Him to them. But the question is, in relation to our theme for this year’s Annual Clergy Retreat, “Is our priestly life still a sign of Jesus' presence in the synodal church?

Sometimes (or many times) because of many challenges in our priestly ministry, and not to mention, our own weaknesses and sinfulness, we lose our identity as priests.

Thus, just like some of the images, our priestly identity becomes blurry, confused, and glitched. Hence, neglecting and denying the faithful with Jesus' presence.

Please pray for us priests, unworthy servants of God, that we may all continue as Jesus’ true presence to the Synodal Church.

PAG-OMAW SA DIOS 🙏 BAGO AN GABOS 😇
Dinutaan siya ni Jesus asin nahale tolos an saiyang pagkabuktot; kaya inomaw niya an Dios. - LUKAS 13:10‭-‬13

Jesus Heals 😇

A PRAYER FOR TODAY 🙏
Lord of all grace, I surrender myself to You and trust in Your abundant mercy.  I trust that You will enable me to walk in Your ways every day of my life with full confidence.  Jesus, I trust in You. AMEN. 🙏

MORNING PRAYER • 17 October 2022

20/10/2022

Maybe you have held onto hope for so long. Prayed for a shift of things in your life to come.

Yet here you are, still in the waiting.

The in-between seasons are hard. It feels like you want to believe for better things to come yet you feel hesitant to sustain that belief.

Your life today may look like nearing the end of the story. But thanks be to God through Jesus! There is always something new to look forward to. His mercies NEVER COME TO AN END!

I remembered the story in John 11. We can read that in verse 44, Lazarus will be resurrected, but everyone during that time thought that it was all over.

They were in the middle of a miracle happening. They just did not know it yet.

Everytime I read that story, I am reminded of His perfect ways, thoughts and time. And it is so much different than ours.

When we see an ending, God sees a new beginning. What we see is just a small portion of the story, but God, full of Wisdom, sees the whole picture!

It is comforting to know, that though He is seated at His throne in Heavens seeing and knowing everything, we can still feel His nearness and see His goodness. That though He knows, that us, His children, will experience unspeakable joy in the end, He chooses to embrace and comfort us with His love and peace in times of sorrow.

Trust Him and be at peace for no matter where you are now, know that You are safe and secure in His hands.

Only the Author knows the story of what He has written. And because it is God, you can rest in the truth that it has been written in perfect faithfulness for your good because He is good.

His plans are worth waiting for.

But more than those plans, may we see that He is far more worthy of waiting, of knowing,
and of loving.

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
1 Corinthians 13:12

Tonight, I just want to pray for those who are hurting deeply.

Know this truth: God can heal your broken heart and bind up your wounds- even those which no one sees.

The healing may take long. The hurt may still come uninvited. But all I know is He is in the process of restoring you and your bruised heart.

May you have the strength to give it not to the one who broke it, but to the One who made it.

Time will come that your wounds will be gone. These wounds that will no longer throb with pain. Yes it will leave scars, but one thing is sure: they will tell a beautiful story of restoration, redemption and of His glory.

Look once more to the Lord.
He will heal you.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
Psalm 34:18

He heals the wounds of every shattered heart. He sets his stars in place, calling them all by their names. How great is our God! There’s absolutely nothing his power cannot accomplish, and He has infinite understanding of everything.
Psalm 147:3-5
