Rock, blues, jazz, metal, pop... Malmöfestivalen has got the lot!

We've just completed a packed week of music, culture and diversity with a range of activities for children, dance competitions and much, much more. 👍🏻🎈

It's the one week of the year when the whole city of Malmö comes out to play and it has to be regarded as one of the safest and well organised city festivals out there.

Here's a look back at some of the highlights from the festival including music from Kes the Band , Smash Into Pieces , WATAIN and more...

We just spent the weekend at one of Sweden's premier music festivals, Way Out West, and it was another fun packed weekend of music, entertainment and late days & nights!!

Music on a variation of stages set in the beautiful surroundings of Slottsskogen, Gothenburg, as well as a wide range of branded art exhibits to eco-friendly food stalls, this made for a brilliant weekend once again.

A massive shout out to the organisers of the event who put on yet another fantastic festival and the countless audience members and staff that jumped in front of our cameras or just wanted smile in the summer sun!

Way Out West... we shall return! :)

Dirty, nasty, in your face and damn right hardcore. That's right, a night down at Pumpehuset, Copenhagen last night to capture American thrash metal band, Soulfly in all in their anger.

We just spent some of the best 4 days of the summer at Copenhell and our festival review and gallery is live on our website.

From sunshine shows in Helviti to dark downpours of rain at the Ghenna stage, the festival lived up to its' billing as being one of the best metal festivals in Europe... in our opinion and many others too.

An incredible end to a truly amazing festival. COPENHELL 2024 is officially over and it has been 4 days filled with crazy entertainment! 🔥🔥👺👹

Body Count, Crypta, Enforced, Accept, Hatebreed, we just a few of the bands on show for the final installment of this year's festival and with 'Tool' closing the main stage, the energy levels were zapped but the smiles still lingered long into the night.

Copenhell is off with a bang and we've been treated to 2 days (so far) of some of the hardest metal and rock out there.

We've been treated to some crazy sets from the likes of The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Plaugemace, Thy Art Is Murder... the list goes on.

"As the first chords of "For Whom the Bell Tolls" reverberated through the stadium, followed by the thunderous "Ride the Lightning", everyone was hooked.

"The nostalgia was powerful, and the band channeled their signature 80s thrash metal era with such intensity, that my cautious optimism now seemed almost silly, because come on, this is Metallica!"

Metallica, parken stadium... CLANG!! A brilliant evening of nostalgia and fury!! we loved it. 😀😍🤘🤘

Northside 2024 has been and gone and we were there through the mud, laughter, smiles and joy to celebrate a festival of music from some of the worlds greatest acts and be entertained by one of Denmark's craziest audiences!!

With the weather starting out as joyous and colourful, then turning to rain and muck, it tried but failed to dampen our spirits but with outstanding performances from the likes of Royal Blood, Massive Attack, Pulp and St Vincent (to name a few), there was never a chance of us feeling anything less than spoilt with the entertainment on offer and thankful we were able to witness this delight, front row, at one of Scandanavia's finest festivals.

A special mention to the festival organisers, promoters and many volunteers that worked tirelessly to make this one of the best festivals on the circuit but create a safe and sustainable festival for everyone to enjoy! :)

"She not only switched guitars but also played the piano-synth. Another highlight was the band's instrumental space throughout the concert. These sections allowed listeners to contemplate the music and added to its dynamic quality."

"And how could one stop smiling? Looking around people of all ages, dancing with their friends and partners, embracing each other while singing along to Samuel’s stunning vocals."

"Not only that the LANDMVRKS has some of the greatest vibes I have seen in a bit, but also the band can back this up by being great artists. Florent Salfati’s singing is beautiful and growling is clear, which is accompanied by other band members’ talents.

"As one could imagine, the songs were mainly “harder” metalcore, but the band had made a small twist by adding a softer acoustic part to one song. This moment was stunningly highlighted by the rest of the songs going back to the usual metalcore."

"As always from the moment Jack Black and Kyle Gass stormed the stage, it was clear that the audience was in for more than just a concert; they were about to experience a full-blown rock opera.

"The duo, known for their irreverent humour and robust musical chops, did not disappoint."

🤔 Hmmm, was our honest reaction to the 'Artemas' concert down at Pumpehuset this week (23.04.24), with an audience of couples making out, sound issues and an already soaked audience from the bad weather that greeted the queuing guests before their arrival.

All in all... meeh! 😂😂

We can't be all smiley all the time, but we can be honest which usually bodes well for people wanting to say it how it is. 🤷‍♂️

"Fletcher participated in the premiere season of the American X Factor, and even then she was a great singer, only improving ever since.

"Her strong vocals already got my skin on goosebumps through Spotify, so when she started belting on stage, I could feel my heart wanting to leave my body and run to her."

🙋‍♂️ "I must admit, I have been looking forward to this gig incredibly much for a very long time, which obviously means that my expectations were insanely high. Even before the gig, I was declaring that I was expecting to cry, jump, and scream all night long. And thankfully I did."

We headed to Store VEGA, Copenhagen this week (01.04.24) to capture Candadian indie band, Mother Mother, in all their glory, joined by an energetic crowd for a night to remember. 🙌

"Every member of the band really seemed to have the time of their life which is always the best to experience. I really couldn’t even see the stage all the time due to being surrounded by 2-meter-tall men, and the band still wrapped me around their fingertips perfectly. Imagine being in the front row in a show like this!"

"Talking about the band, both guys just took their spots on stage and started a beautiful techno rampage. Loud bass with the nice explosion of lights filled in the venue. The party started with the gentle bit of ‘Low Burn’.

"The crowd started to wave rhythmically to the beat. It was quite discreet in the start, but the party took off quickly with most of the audience dancing and enjoying themselves."

"They stormed the stage to uproarious applause from the packed room and lurched into their wistful ballad “Hjerteknuser” (Heartbreaker) to swaying and smiles from the audience.

"Charismatic frontman Janove Ottesen wasted no time working up a sweat, moving about the stage like a man possessed, demanding equal fervour from the audience."

"I spoke briefly to Tommy and Anton about the process of composing, especially on the last record, and Tommy said that by this time, they have ‘one brain’ and that the creation of the songs is full of arguments in order to get the best out of everyone."

"Not only is Laufey a fantastic singer, but she also plays beautifully. Whether her instrument is guitar, cello, or piano, she masters it, which looks incredibly easy and effortless.

"She was skipping and hopping through the stage from one instrument to another as if all of them would be simple to play.
This only added to how charming and sincere Laufey seems to be, which makes her performance even more enjoyable."

"Seriously, lead singer Daniel Tompkins has a wider vocal range than a chameleon on a rainbow and keeps surprising you throughout every song when he effortlessly transitions between silky soaring cleans and beastly guttural growls."

"With their introverted and dark waved post punk synth, I took them into my heart instantly. On their debut EP, The Mind of a Gemini, you can find this unique, yet inspired sound.

"And with the group’s 2022 release Cotton Candy, First Hate hits the notes from their earlier days with a twist of club melancholy and are IMO back on the right track."

"The lighting and stage production was top notch for a tour of this size.

"The haze accentuated the lighting and for the most part did not drown out the performers."

For once, we centre on the production from a gig we review, but let's not take away from the amazing concert we have just laid witness to. It just so happened that the performance and stage show were so spectacular... we would point this out too! :)

We headed down to Amager Bio, Copenhagen to capture Gothenburgs' finest showbiz rock band, Avatar, performing an entertaining and captivating set on their return to the stage!

We have some of the, if not, best writers and photographers in Scandanavia.

We don't mind sending this post out now as we embark on what will be the best year of our editorial career so far. 2023 was amazing... but 2024 will be incredible! :)

With a wide range of festivals approaching this year and with an already great relationship we hold with our fans and music venues, we can't wait to bring you more heartfelt concert reviews, written from our point of view, our own feelings and with as much reality and passion as we can gather!

Karolina and Hanna... you have been amazing!!

We also aim to bring you a wide range of close-up images from our unbelievable team of professional photographers of which we have had the pleasure of working with over the past year to ensure we offer new, exciting and unique visuals that hopefully will engage with our followers but also present the opportunity for our team to get out there and show the world how amazing they can be under the spotlight.

We show why we started doing concert photography in the first place, to enjoy every moment up front with the band but also to offer the crowd some amazing memories from the audience shots we capture!

CLANG is for everyone that has the ability and creative spark to be the best that they can be, in a non-competitive sense, but with their own attributes, to ensure the general public can gain a detailed and imaginative perspective of every concert we cover!
