Grilled Watermelon with Chile and Lime ๐Ÿ‰
Add the tangy flavor of a lime, and the spicy flavor of a hot chile to sweet, juicy watermelon and see what happens.

How to Grill Watermelon ๐Ÿ‰
Preheat the grill and drizzle thick slices of watermelon with a neutral oil. (Grapeseed oil is perfect.)

Once the grill is very hot, add the watermelon slices with a couple of inches between them. If you donโ€™t hear a sizzling sound when the fruit hits the grill, itโ€™s not hot enough. Wait for the sizzle or you wonโ€™t get the nice grill marks that weโ€™re after.

Grill just long enough to mark the watermelon, then flip the slices and grill for about 30 seconds.

The goal is to mark the watermelon, adding the smoky flavor of the grill with a bit of crispness that comes along with it.

SARS-COV-2 virus is known to cause the most scathing attack on the lungs and respiratory system and with rising reports of lung involvement in the early stages, many are gasping for breath with fluctuating oxygen levels.

At a critical time like this, when resources run scarce, it is imperative that we do all that we can do to boost lung function naturally.

SALTLESS SEASONING ๐Ÿง‚

Ingredients
1 tablespoon garlic powder

2 teaspoons dried thyme leaves

2 teaspoons onion powder

2 teaspoons paprika

2 teaspoons celery seed

1 1/2 teaspoons white pepper

1 tablespoon dry mustard powder

2 teaspoons ground dried orange peel

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Steps to Make It
Gather the ingredients.

Mix all the ingredients together in a small mixing bowl, stirring until thoroughly combined.

Store in a dark, cool place in a tightly sealed glass container.

Use on meats, poultry, and fish, or at the table for a salt-free seasoning.

Turmeric Milk ๐Ÿฅ›

1 (1 1/2 inch) piece fresh turmeric root, peeled and grated1 (1/2 inch) piece fresh ginger root, peeled and grated1 tablespoon honey1 cup unsweetened almond milk1 pinch ground turmeric

Combine turmeric root, ginger root, and honey together in a bowl, crushing the turmeric and ginger as much as possible.

Heat almond milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Once small bubbles begin to form around the edges, reduce heat to low. Transfer about 2 tablespoon milk to turmeric mixture to allow mixture to soften and honey to melt into a paste-like mixture.

Mix the turmeric paste into milk in the saucepan; raise temperature to medium-low and cook, stirring continuously, until fully combined. Blend with an immersion blender for a smooth texture.

Pour turmeric tea into a mug and top with ground turmeric and cinnamon.

Danielle received her 200 hour training from Yoga to the People in NYC and is currently in an individualized 200 hr advanced teacher training program with Katonah Yoga Center. Her love of movement is an outgrowth of her experience as a dancer growing up and a dance teacher in her later teens. Danielle's teaching style braids together the various styles of yoga that she has studied over the years: vinyasa, Katonah, and kundalini. Her classes focus on functional movement, emphasizing anatomy, alignment, and being at home in that magical abode that is your body.

Breathwork class description - 30 minutes

Breathwork is system of techniques used to harness and manipulate our universal life-force energyโ€”our breath. The techniques is this class are designed to ventilate, stimulate, and balance your body and mind. You can expect 25 minutes of practices like kapalabhati, bhastrika, and alternate nostril breathing, each held for 3-4 minutes, followed 5 minutes of meditation. Some techniques are accompanied by light movement. If we imagine our yoga practice as folding ourselves into an origami cups, breathwork is the practice of filling that cup with the most luscious elixir. Come and fill your cup!

LOVE ๐Ÿ’™ LIGHT ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธand FLEXIBILITY ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ from Danielle that I couldn't help but bring all of this beauty to you all!

๐Ÿ‘๐ŸฝDanielle has joined our Fitness Division and will be teaching various yoga breathing and meditation courses throughout next year.

To introduce you to the world of YOGA we will be hosting a breathwork meditation workshop December 1st and a yoga workshop December 8th.

Breathwork meditation classes will be $15
Yoga classes will be $20
