While necessary to cover restoration costs, this decision raises questions about the fairness of passing these costs on to residents.

Sergeant Pleytez from Constable Mark Herman’s Office has arrested an adult male at the Shell Fuel Station on 32150 Northwest Freeway. The suspect, found in a stolen work vehicle and with stolen identifying information, is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and fraudulent use of identifying information.

For those who aren't aware, Highway 99 is currently under construction. The eastbound lanes are reduced to one lane from Hufsmith-Kohrville to Stuebner Airline. To avoid delays, please consider taking alternate routes. This construction is part of a project to add a third lane on both sides of the highway.

Help Needed: Lost Prosthetic Leg in Galveston!

Jayce, a 9-year-old special needs boy, lost his prosthetic leg at 61st Street near Beachfront Palms in Galveston. If found, please return it to the Galveston Island Beach Patrol. The family is also raising funds for a replacement.

Greenspoint Mall, a North Houston staple since August 5, 1976, will close its doors on July 31, 2024. This mall, once a bustling shopping destination, has faced significant decline over the years.

The closure marks the end of an era, but the site is slated for redevelopment into mixed-use spaces, including apartments and retail stores, aiming to rejuvenate the area and offer new opportunities for the community.

A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing death of Dana Magnuson (62) in Hockley. He is in custody at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.

The incident occurred on July 20, 2024, when deputies discovered the deceased at the 20800 block of Sunshine Meadow. Our condolences to the victim’s family and those affected. The Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Investigators worked diligently on this case.

Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to an incident at the 7400 block of Hollister, near West Tidwell and 290. The body of a deceased adult male, possibly in his 20s, was found in a parking lot adjacent to a retention pond, showing obvious signs of trauma. Investigators are enroute to the scene.
