Putin: Confidence in the US dollar has been lost.
According to Sputnik, Russian President Vladimir Putin criticized America’s policies and approaches in the international arena at the meeting of the Eastern Economic Forum on Wednesday and said: America has weakened the foundations of the world’s economic order and in pursuit of its interests, it has reduced itself to nothing. He does not limit anything and is not ashamed of anything to achieve his goals.
The 7th Eastern Economic Forum with the theme “Towards a Multipolar World” and with the participation of 40 countries started on Monday in the city of Vladivostok in Southeastern Russia and will continue until Thursday.
Stating that after the Corona virus, the fever of embargo has spread all over the world, Putin added: There have been many changes in the international system, the role of Asian and Pacific countries has increased. These countries have become the main centers of growth and absorption of technology, but the West is trying to maintain a world order that is only favorable to them.
Pointing out that Russia and China are currently using the national currencies of ruble and yuan in trade, he said: “Even America’s allies have reduced the use of dollars.”
In this regard, he added: Trust in the US dollar has been lost, even the allies of the US are reducing their assets in the form of dollars.
According to Putin, the West will enter a deadlock and an economic and social crisis, because the leaders of Western countries only care about the interests of the “golden billionaires” and do not pay attention to the needs of their people.
The President of Russia further said: Western countries continue to appear in the position of “colonizers”, deceiving developing countries, and this process can lead to an unprecedented human disaster, as the global food crisis worsens day by day.
In another part of his speech, Putin mentioned the war in Ukraine and added: Russia has never been the initiator in the military field, we are just trying to end the war that started with the 2014 coup in Ukraine. It is our duty to support the people of Donbass.
Regarding the food crisis in the world and the recent agreement between Ukraine and Russia regarding the safe export of Ukrainian grains, he said: “We did everything to make sure that Ukrainian grains are exported safely and that the benefits of hungry countries are provided, but instead of being sent to countries in Now, it went to the European Union countries.
According to Putin, Russia has not lost anything since February 24 (the start of military operations in Ukraine), but the most important achievement is the strengthening of Russian sovereignty.
Russia will always defend its national interests and pursue an independent policy, and it wants such an approach for its partners as well.
