In a penumbral lunar eclipse, the Moon travels through Earth's penumbra, or the faint outer part of its shadow. Parts of Africa, Asia, Australia will be able to see the eclipse, that will occur on May 5. During the penumbral eclipse, the Moon's brightness will be reduced, but most of its disc will remain illuminated to some extent.

The record for highest total in IPL was set on April 23, 2013, when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) scored 263/5 against Pune Warriors India (PWI).

Nine students have died by su***de in Andhra Pradesh after results of Class 11 and 12 exams were declared on Wednesday by the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education. The students were upset over failing in some subjects or securing low marks, according to reports. The pass percentage for Class 11 was 61% and Class 12 was 72%.

In a video uploaded online, Murty can be heard saying, "See how a wife can change a husband...I could not change my husband. I made my husband a businessman." Rishi Sunak, who married Akshata in 2009, was named UK's Prime Minister in 2022.

GT handed MI their biggest defeat (by runs) in IPL since 2017 by defeating them by 55 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. GT recorded their biggest total in IPL by scoring 207/6. They restricted MI to 152/9. GT spinner Noor Ahmad took three wickets in the match. GT have jumped to the second position on points table.

The United Arab Emirates has released the clearest image obtained by humans of Mars' mysterious 'lumpy' moon named 'Deimos'. The Emirates Mars Exploration Project, the 'Probe of Hope', approached 100 km from the Martian moon 'Deimos' to capture the image. This moon was mostly part of Mars and it separated from it millions of years ago, the probe claimed.

ITC on Tuesday briefly surpassed Infosys' market capitalisation to become the sixth-largest firm in the country. ITC crossed Infosys' market capitalisation after overtaking HDFC Ltd in Friday's trade. With the stock surpassing the 412 mark, ITC has bettered its market cap rank by two notches in just three sessions. ITC is the sixth weighted stock on Nifty50.

It comes after PM Narendra Modi during his visit to the village last year said that India's border villages are our first villages and not the last as they are usually called.

A Fly Dubai aircraft caught fire minutes after taking off from Kathmandu airport on Monday night. Fire tenders were deployed at the airport. However, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal tweeted that Fly Dubai flight number 576 is normal now and proceeding to its destination, Dubai as per the flight plan.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who recently underwent surgery on his lower back, is attending his team MI's IPL 2023 match against GT at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. MI took to Twitter to share a picture of Bumrah from the stadium and wrote, "Boom Boom...Bumrah." Earlier this month, the BCCI stated that Bumrah has started his rehabilitation at NCA.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the latitude was -29.95 and the longitude was -178.02 while the depth of the earthquake was noted to be 10 km at the Kermadec Islands.

Cheetah 'Uday', who was brought from South Africa, died at the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. The cause of the death is yet to be ascertained, an official said. The cheetah was found to be in weak condition hours before his death. Notably, a female cheetah named 'Sasha', who was brought from Namibia last year, passed away last month.
