The Current interviewed the candidates, Margot Garant and Barbara Ransome in our latest article (link in bio)
Incumbent
Mayor Garant has held office for 12 years, starting many projects and
has plans for revitalizing Upper Port Jeff. She wishes to "engage and
inspire our children by their participation in local government and
community service!"
Ransome
was deputy mayor under Garant's mother, and Village Trustee before
heading the Chamber of Commerce. She thinks change is vital to keeping
government effective and has plans to expand youth programs, including a
prospective bike park.

🌊 DEADLINE APR. 2:
LICEA will be doing a soft opening on April 10 in downtown PJ. If selected, your art will be featured at 25 Chandler Square (Jennifer Hannaford studios and Simple Good).

🖼 DEADLINE APR. 7:
The Congressional Art challenge invites students to submit their art for a chance to be displayed for one year in the US capitol. See zeldin.house.gov/artcompetition for rules and requirements.

🎶 DEADLINE APR. 11:
The Greater Port Jefferson Arts Council is hosting a talent show! Visit gpjac.org for forms and more information.
