So many people go about their lives wishing they could make a certain change. To have better health, better relationships, more abundance. I’m here to say that the power is in your hands. Do the inner work. Don’t do yourself the disservice of making excuses for the things you know will improve your life. Be dedicated to making a change and it will happen.

Full leg day workout 🙌🏼 I have had low energy due to entering the phase before my cycle, so I’ve been de-loading and focusing on movement/mind-muscle connection.

✓ Barbell Squats: 8-10 reps 4 sets (started at lower weight)
✓ Seated Leg Curls: 10-12 reps 4 sets (same weight)
✓ Isolated Leg Extensions: 12 reps 4 sets (same weight)
✓ Dumbbell Romanian Deadlifts: 8-10 reps 3 sets (adding weight with each rep)

It’s not always about lifting as heavy as possible, there are other ways to progress towards your goals even on low energy days.

Try this ladies:

✓ focus on increasing weight on high energy days like the first two weeks after your cycle
✓ put effort into improving your form and REALLY feeling the workout to get the most out of it

✨double tap if you found this helpful 🙌🏼✨

Soaking up this beautiful spring has given me an urge to cleanse my space, mind and lifestyle. Been decluttering, journaling, nourishing my body, disconnecting in order to reconnect and getting back to the basics of what feels good. Anyone else?

You can’t do this. You can’t commit to ANYTHING good for you. It’s funny you’re even trying. You’ve failed before, give up. You’ll never be healthy and thrive.

These are things I’d tell myself every time I prepared to go to the gym. SO MANY times I rolled back into bed and put myself aside because of it.

Until one day...

I walked out that door, and I proved myself WRONG — OVER AND OVER again.

You can do this, too.

All of these negative comments we tell ourselves when we reach for change, are NOT TRUE.

We (usually) tell ourselves this because deep down we are afraid to leave our comfort zone, to grow beyond recognition, to truly heal and be healthy.

Our instinct comes in to protect us from change, even those we WANT or NEED.

I’m here to say that it is possible for you. Your reality can change. All of this waits for you at the other side of that door.

Wishing you all a happy New Year’s Eve & New Year — may you go in filled with intention & experience growth. I’ll let this post end with a thought I wrote down last night:

Did you know that without wind, trees wouldn’t be able to grow strong roots or grow tall?

It’s an incredible lesson taught by nature — that without shifts and challenges, growth is impaired.

They sway gracefully with every wind, because they know that it only allows them to deepen their roots and grow taller.

It is this contrast that develops our character and gives our life color. Be flexible.. bend & sway with the wind — may you grow deeply and stand taller in 2021.

Much love, Ivonne

Are you okay with NOT acting on your ambitions? As Epictetus once said, how long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?

Every so often, I come back to the idea of reinventing myself. I thrive off of taking on new projects/endeavors, because I've learned that the pain of growing & challenging ourselves is one of life's GREATEST teachers.

It's all a part of the human experience, and it's up to every one of us to make the best out of our own.

This upcoming year will be kicked off with:
❈A cleanse by to reset my digestive health
❈Taking on new routines with intention and dedication
❈Less time consuming, more time creating/being present
❈Pushing myself to reach new milestones in my fitness

This isn't a 'new year, new you' kind of post. I'm saying that you can do this anytime you feel you need a shift. It's always been within your grasp. All you have to do is reach for it.

Are you with me?

With the holidays coming up I wanted to give everyone starting on their health journeys a reminder (swipe right to see it).

Remember to have patience with your progress as the holidays head over & situations aren't optimal. It's all about being intentional with what you can do & celebrate the wins along the way. Wellness is a journey of a lifetime.

Today I am drinking a pumpkin spice latte with organic pumpkin puree, organic maca root powder, cinnamon, half shot of organic coffee bean espresso & oat milk.

Making this drink feels like a win! What are yours?

This is something I have been thinking about for a couple of days now — the stigma that to want to change our bodies is to hate/dislike ourselves.

Although it is true that we all should love ourselves as we are, I’m here to say it is okay to still want to work on your health, too.

We don’t have to exercise or change our diet as a way to punish ourselves. It does NOT have to come from a place of hate, shame or disgust.

It can be done as a way to TRULY love ourselves... because we understand & ACCEPT that working on our health can bring us longevity, better quality of life, more energy, & confidence.

I have beat excess weight, inflammation, depression & took control of my life by working on my health. Journaling included — remember, health is not just physical.

I’m here to say that it is okay to want to change, & do so from a place of self-love and healing.

Kicking off December leveling up my health & lifestyle. That’s the thing about a fresh start — it begins whenever you decide to go for it.🪴

With many things tying into our well-being, it’s important to take note of the things that feel out of balance for us and reclaim our lives.

It may be a food sensitivity, extra weight, inflammation/bloating, mindset healing/work, or the lack of something that could fuel us (like support).

Your reason WHY is your most powerful tool. It will get you across from where you are now to where you want to be.

For me? Autoimmune disease runs in my family, so, I do everything possible to reduce inflammation and excess fat in my body NATURALLY.

I believe we all have the ability to take charge of our lives in this way, and my biggest ambition in life is helping others embrace that within themselves.

How will you take charge this month? Even the smallest thing counts! 🪴
