Hint #2 - If you have a large number of subtitles to add to a video, go through small sections using 1 tool at a time. For example, I go through with the cutting tool over about 5 minutes of footage and cut up the subtitles graphic at the appropriate points. Then I go back over that same section of video using the text tool to add in what the person is saying. This is both a great time saver and makes you more familiar with the content as you go to transcribe!!

Hint #1 - When adding subtitles it’s important to give the reader as much time as possible to absorb the text. Zoom into your audio track so you can clearly see the vocal lull. Drag the end of your text graphic until just before the voice begins to spike again on the audio track. This gives your reader that much needed processing time!
