The Ghost Ship was a really fun way to have an on-line film festival. There's video introductions to each section, a mystery to solve, and a bunch of films from all over the world that are super interesting and entertaining. If you like horror/sci-fi and indie films, it's definitely worth the 13 bucks.

Premiere Day is finally here! I want to thank all the talented people that worked on this and helped put it together! I won't have time in the screenings today to go into this much detail, so I'll do it here! Co-writer Eliza Fox who had the idea to make a sci-fi film in the first place, and who has been a great collaborator for almost 3 decades! Aaron Castillo who drove his car and gear out to Iowa from Seattle in the middle of winter and did everything from D.P. to drone, steady-cam, color correction and GFX. Such a great tireless brilliant guy to work with! Constantine Stamos who wore many hats from Producer to grip to set design. Kati Wilkins for baby casting and producing. The baby she found is a scene stealer! Didi Wilkinsfor letting us smash her mailbox and jump on her car, and for making the duct tape suit and the baby's doll double. That was creepy! Theresa Wilkinsfor letting us shoot in her house and not getting too mad that we moved all her stuff around! Will, and Griffey and Harper for letting us shoot around them! John Boschfor the awesome mix and score! All the great music from Dan Jones, 310, Mirror Queen, Kenny Sehgal, Kitty Mortland,and John Bosch! So many great songs and tunes composed for this film! GFX and Color work by Aaron Castillo, Khari J. Whitmore, and Carmelo Casalenuovo. We spent 7 weeks on the color isolation alone! Great editing by Carmelo Casalenuovo with advice from Tim Coulter and Brad Vanderburg! And then I gotta thank the actors! Who took a big risk by responding to a post on Backstage and meeting some random people in Iowa in the middle of winter! Chris Ostrowski who is a star and a huge positive asset to the production! A lead that did his own stunts and made everyone around him better! Kitty Mortland whose performance as a person who temporarily loses control of her executive functions is absolutely amazing! Hilarious and tragic at the same time! Another really smart tireless collaborator who made her own costumes and added hundreds of good ideas, even in 11 degree weather! Peyton Michelle Edwardswho was the voice of reason and our Velma from Scooby-Doo. A great actor who is just getting started!! If only Mary would have listened to her! Frances Hearn, who jumped in at the last minute but played every scene pitch perfect. This was our 4th film together and she always brings it and makes everyone around her comfortable and natural and focused! Amelia, the most social baby in the world! Plus all the frappers including Doug Grubb who I made a film with 26 years ago and came out of retirement just like not a day had passed. Jeff Bensonwho finally got to put his real life talents to use! Stan Mastalerzand Alan Pruzanfor helping fund this and sticking with me all these years! You guys rock! Allison Valenzuela for help with the make-up! My cousins Patrick Davis and Michael McFarland for production help, nephew Tyler Anthony Wilkins for production help and sprinting through the fields over and over again, chasing the frapper and Alexander Westmoreland! The Black and Brave Wrestling Academy for the ring and crowd! That was so lucky! Marek Brave for the stunt coordination and kicking ass as Bunny Clown Dude! Tim Alexander for the body bag and getting shot! We made our first film in Davenport 31 years ago, the first Sisyphus Production. The boulder is at the top of the hill again! Time to let it go!

On-line Premiere for “THE THINGS WE TELL THE ONES WE LOVE” interactive virus movie is Saturday May 2nd at 4pm Pacific, 6pm Central, 7pm Eastern.
RSVP below or email me at [email protected] and I will send a link to the Zoom meeting and instructions. Due to streaming limitations, there are a limited number of virtual seats for the premiere. If necessary, we will have multiple screenings to accommodate everyone.

Following the screening there with be a Q and A with the Cast and Crew of the film. Bring drinks, snacks and funny hats!
