This two-ingredient Trader Joe’s meal could not be easier to make, and it’s great for kiddos! Here’s what you need:🎃 Fall Zuchette Butternut Squash pasta🎃 Autumnal Harvest creamy pasta sauce Because the pasta is shaped like pumpkins, it’s so fun as a festive fall/Halloween meal. All you have to do is heat up the sauce on the stove, boil water, cook the pasta, strain, and that’s it! My 3-year-old daughter asked to help stir, which also meant she was curious to taste the meal before it was served (and I LOVE that)! The sauce is chock full of veggies (pumpkin, butternut squash, carrots) and the pasta is also made with butternut squash. My 7-month-old also really liked the pasta. (The sauce has some added sugar so I didn’t serve that to him.) Since this meal is so fast/easy/hearty/festive, it’s perfect to serve before trick or treating! Let me know in the comments if you plan on trying it, and your favorite quick and easy TJ meals!#kidfriendlypdx #kidfriendlyfood #kidfriendlymeals #kidfriendlyrecipes #halloween #traderjoes #traderjoesrecipes #easyrecipes #easymeals #fallrecipes
📍 Northwest Children's Theater and School (1000 SW Broadway T-100, Portland, OR 97205)🎥 The Judy recently opened its Family Cinema, and it’s amaaazing. They show second-run and classic films (we saw a sing along version of ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’). The theater is equipped with traditional seats and also an open space in the front filled with beanbag chairs, which was SO FUN!🍿 There’s a concession stand that serves all the classic candy and popcorn, and also offers pizza and a variety of drinks. ⭐️ This was the perfect way to test out how my 3-year-old would do at the movie theater, in a no-pressure atmosphere. She had a great time, not only watching the movie but also interacting with the other kids. 🎟️ $4/person📅 For now, movies run on Friday evenings. Keep an eye on The Judy’s website and socials for a list of movies/showtimes!🚗 metered street parking and parking garages (there’s a garage right around the corner from The Judy!). #thejudy #kidfriendlypdx #movietheater #familymovienight #kidsmovies #pdxparent #pdxmom #portlandmom #pdxnow #explorepdx #kidfriendlyactivities #familyactivities #nwchildrenstheater

📍 Tea Chai Té (now called Portal Tea Company): 7983 SE 13th Ave, Portland, OR 97202🚂 Portal Tea Company has a handful of locations, and we love the Sellwood outpost because part of it is in a train caboose!🫖 There are SO MANY different teas to choose from here, it’s hard to pick! Thankfully you can take loose leaf home too. They do make boba and milk teas for kiddos, but if you’re looking for a less sugary option there are tons of caffeine free herbal tea choices. My 3-year-old daughter had an iced vanilla rooibos with honey and whole milk and loved it! Since it was a warm day I went for an iced pear green tea, but my go-to is the pumpkin spice chai. The way they make their chai is *chef’s kiss*🪑 You can sit in the caboose (there are some really fun seats you have to climb a latter to get to, as seen in the reel), and there’s also a cozy room with a fire place and an outdoor patio. Like the teas, there’s so many options!♿️ The main entrance has steps but the back entrance is wheelchair accessible🥐 If you want a snack with your tea, Portal has a bunch of delicious pastry offerings 🚗 Free street parking #portalteacompany #teachaite #kidfriendlypdx #tea #exploreportland #pdx #pdxeats #portlandoregon #pdxparent #portlandmom #pdxmom #oregonmom
📍 Branch Point Distillery (15800 NE McDougall Rd. Dayton, OR 97114)🚗 Free lot parking 🌾 Like the vineyards that surround it, Branch Point Distillery harvests local ingredients (in this case, grains) to create flavors unique to the region. They distill their whiskey the traditional way, using copper pot stills, and create whiskey all over the flavor profile, from smooth to peaty and everywhere in between🥃 If it’s your first time to Branch Point, a flight is the way to go to taste four different types of whiskey. If you prefer cocktails, they serve mini cocktail flights too. You can also get full pours and cocktails when there’s a food truck on-site. 🧒 Even though this is a whiskey tasting room, kids are welcome! There is ample seating on their covered patio that gives little ones room to spread out🥗 There is sometimes a food truck on-site but not always. Make sure to check Branch Point’s social or call to inquire about the food truck schedule!🍷 Branch Point is amazing but the Willamette Valley is of course known for its wine, and there are some amazing wineries close by. Stoller Family Estate is across the street and Remy Wines is just a few minute drive away!#branchpointdistillery #willamettevalley #kidfriendlypdx #whiskey #willamettevalleywinecountry #oregon #oregonwinecountry #exploreoregon #kidfriendlydistillery #oregonwine #oregonwhiskey #oregonmade #oregonmom #whiskeydrinker
📍 Stickmen Brewing Company - Lake Oswego, OR (40 N State St, Lake Oswego, OR 97034)🚤 Stickmen has a few locations, but this one stands out because of its lakeside location. The deck views are spectacular!🍔 The menu is a little pricey for brewery food; however, the kids menu is great and reasonably priced (it includes fish & chips, cheeseburger, mac & cheese, and other kid favorites)🍻 Stickmen serves a variety of delicious beers for parents who imbibe (as well as wine and a full bar)♿️ The main entrance has stairs but the path to the deck is wheelchair accessible💦 After your meal, let the kids cool down and play at the splash pad at nearby Sundeleaf Plaza🚙 There’s a free public parking lot across the street from Sundeleaf Plaza #pdx #kidfriendlypdx #pdxparents #lakeoswego #oregon #brewery #beer #kids #mom #momlife #portland #splashpad #momsoffb #parentsoffacebook
