Layunin ng diskurso na ito na bigyan ng kaalaman ang mga magulang kung papaano nila dapat gagabayan at proprotektahan ang kanilang mga anak para maka-iwas sa tukso ng mga ipinagbabawal na gamot. Ang mga magulang ang may pinaka-malaking impluwensiya sa anak kaya naman narapat na matutunan ng mga magulang kung papaano nila gabayan ang kanilang mga anak. Kailangan maramdaman ng isang anak ang kalinga ng magulang at pagmamahal sa loob ng tahanan upang maiwasan ng isang anak na maibaling ang atensyon nito sa mga maling gawain kagaya na lamang ng paggamit ng Illegal na Droga.
