Meet our Director of Photography - Chava Rey Curland

Chava Rey is a filmmaker and theater artist. After spending 10 years as a theater director and puppetry and mask designer, Chava primarily works around the Twin Cities as a Cinematographer, Gaffer, and Grip. She has worked on several feature films, including Marmalade and Rescuing Christmas, as well as many shorts and web series. Forthcoming is the short Oracle, a 16mm mystical horror film, and Chava will return to theater to direct Ray Bradbury’s The Halloween Tree at the Southern Theater in October 2024.

Greg Borman is a passionate filmmaker and video producer who is skilled in project design, cinematography, and post-production. He has been working in film, live broadcast, and video production since 2014 and has won festival awards for his independent film work.

Meet our First AD - Peyton Stille

Peyton Stille is a local writer and director with a passion in producing independent narrative-driven cinema. Her work specializes in feminist stories deriving from mental health. She has recently worked as a 2nd AD on two Saint Paul based feature films, and is in pre-production on multiple works to be filmed this summer. She is in the early stages of starting her own production company Desolate Maude Productions.

Time to introduce the crew - Meet our wonderful writer & co-producer, Christiaan Tarbox.

Naamgenoot marks the screenwriting and producing debut of Christiaan Tarbox, fulfilling a lifelong dream after many years as an actor in the Twin Cities. Chris previously worked with Ambigram Pictures in a supporting role in “Worst in Show,” and earned acting awards from shorts festivals in New York and Los Angeles for his debut lead performance in 2017’s “Small Self.” Chris is thrilled to finally become a filmmaker and hopes to inspire other autistic and neurodivergent artists in making their own dreams a reality.
