FLOODLIT SPECTACULAR AND AN ENDURANCE CLASSIC
Season opener in  : Last weekend, the   Circuit in Saudi Arabia hosted the opening event of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship for the fourth year in a row. The first double-header of the campaign got off to a scintillating start for the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team, with   mastering the new qualifying format to book a sixth pole position of his Formula E career and with his team-mate   lining up behind in third place. In Friday's first round, the Mercedes-EQ duo delivered a one-two finish. It was Nyck's third success in Formula E and his second in  . For the team, it was victory number five in the all-electric   series and also the second win in an opener in Saudi Arabia. However, the outcome of the second race on Saturday made it a weekend of mixed emotions. In qualifying, Nyck initially picked up where he had left off on Friday evening, securing his second Formula E pole position in a tense shootout by a margin of just five thousandths of a second. In the race itself, he was unable to repeat the previous day's result and had to settle for tenth place after a contact with an opponent. Stoffel meanwhile fought his way up from twelfth on the grid to cross the line in seventh. The third round of the season will be contested in Mexico City in a fortnight's time on 12 February 2022.

Returning to the track for the first time since claiming the WorldSBK “Triple Crown” in Indonesia, the team is unloading its Yamaha WorldSBK bikes in Portugal today to set up for two days of running on 8-9 February. Acting as a first shakedown for the upcoming season, the Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK squad and Yamaha staff will evaluate 2022 technical updates, both mechanical and electronic, with their focus on development confirmations rather than outright performance.

KAWASAKI PUCCETTI RACING – TWO IMPORTANT TEST DAYS AT JEREZ
Puccetti has today concluded a two-day test at the Jerez de la Frontera track in Spain with its World Supersport riders Can and and World Superbike rider .
The weather was quite favourable, although a cold wind occasionally bothered the riders. Before he could even start work, Mahias, who returns to his ZX-10RR after more than four months away due to the wrist injury he sustained at Magny Cours, had to first check his physical condition. Clearly fit to ride, Lucas set a time of 1’40”921 by the end of the first day, while on day two his reference dropped to 1’40”542, testament to both his progress and his synergy with the Ninja. Mahias and his technicians tested components that included the Ohlins suspension, which Manuel Puccetti’s team will use during the 2022 season.
In Supersport, Can Oncu pushed hard right from day one, closing with a best lap of 1’43”240.

RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING RESET AND READY TO ROLL FOR 2022
After notable milestones in the last few years such as podium clean-sweeps, title wins in both categories in the same year, 19 out of 20 Grand Prix triumphs in a single season and being the only team in the premier class to see all racers grasp victories in one campaign: KTM Factory will field a refined and dedicated effort for 2022.

Defending No.1 will aim for his third MXGP crown since 2018 with the latest generation KTM 450 SX-F. The team hope to pay homage this year to Rene Hofer; the young Austrian would have been the third member of the line-up until his untimely passing in December. The team will be managed by Joel Smets with assuming a Technical Director role.
