Here it is women folks!
Our first podcast with guest Ruth Hazleton!
https://anchor.fm/womenfolk/episodes/Women-Folk-with-Ruth-Hazelton-e1os54v/a-a8l8ngq

We were so excited when Ruth accepted our invitation to be our very first guest on Women Folk. In this podcast we speak with Ruth about her creative work, her academic research and her experience as a mother working in the music industry.

The show kicks off with an exceptional track from Ruth's first solo album Daisywheel.

Ruth is a Melbourne-based singer, banjo player, guitarist and songwriter and remains a prominent figure in Australia’s folk music scene for over 25 years.

Ruth has appeared onstage with numerous acts at many Australian festivals and has toured internationally (the UK, Ireland and America), released eleven studio albums and made guest appearances on many more. She has also been the recipient of numerous awards including ‘Solo Artist of the Year’ at the Australian Folk Music Awards, 2021.

I hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making it!

Wooh! HOoooo! Our first guest interview with Ruth Hazleton has been completed and will be out soon for your listening pleasure. (Stay tuned here for updates)

This project has been a long time coming, but Jade and I just keep plugging away at it when we have time. Why? Because we care about getting women's voices out there! Because we care deeply about the arts and believe it should be invested in, more accessible and treasured!

We look forward to presenting this to you over the coming months. Xx Mel and Jade
