NDANUSA: THE MAKING OF A NEW YERIMA OF LAFIAGI
It is often said that destiny is irreversible and it thus presupposes that whatever has been destined in one's lifetime would not go unfulfilled, notwithstanding the longevity of time. Perhaps, this assertion account for why it has been said that we're nothing but pencil in the hand of the creator.
One of those whose destinies have continued to single out for good reasons is the new Yerima of Lafiagi Emirate, inspector Buhari Manzuma Ndanusa. Here is a man who has been fortunate to have worked in various places in his lifetime. In fulfilment of what has been divinely penned down in his life, Buhari flagship in professional career is law enforcement.
Buhari Manzuma Ndanusa is a prince from the dominant Abdulkadir ruling house. He's the biological son to late Alhaji Buhari Kawu of blessed memory, A Police Officer in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and a security detail to the Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Abuja.
His nomination as the new Yerima of Lafiagi after the former occupant of the title, Alh. Abdulkadir Kawu Yerima, was accompanied with encomiums and overwhelming applause from the sons and daughters of Lafiagi Emirate, who were happy the day of his formal turbaning to the exalted traditional royal title.
His choice by Mai Martaba, Emir of Lafiagi, Alh. Muhammad Kudu Kawu, Bsc, MBA, MBIF came with a lot of excitement, considering his contribution to the development of Lafiagi Emirate. As far as the new Yerima is concerned, he has facilitated the appointment of a number of youth, both male and female, all at the federal level.
Historically, the title of Yerima, no doubt, originated from the North of which Lafiagi Emirate is proudly part of. The title is very crucial, and today, Buhari has been fortunate to be an important figure, a man with incalculable substance that has been honored with it.
The new title holder befits the astrological and horoscope meaning of Yerima, which says that Yerima is one with a sharp mind, one with a fast thinking ability and one that is blessed with the great powers of entering places.
The philanthropy of the new title holder, Inspector Buhari Manzuma Ndanusa, is not only felt among his immediate family, but extended family, friends, associates, contemporaries and all and sundry. He is generous to a fault.
For almost a decade that he joined the Nigeria police force, he has not relented in his humanitarian services or changed his infectious character to fellow human beings, kudos to the new Yerima on this rare feat, as he takes delight in putting smiles on the faces of many, either in terms of financial support or appointment.
Yerima is one with an extremely active life, one that is always on the road and one that possesses great energy to accomplish even greater things. The title can also be likened to a baby in an adult's body that does not want to grow out of the teenage thoughts, mainly because his teenage experience is exemplary, keeps you happy and provides you with a strong motivating energy.
Yerima is one that looks younger than his actual age and one that is great at reading and writing and a strategic communicator. No doubt, the Emir, Mai Martaba, a highly knowledgeable, philosophical, futuristic traditional ruler saw the outstanding qualities in the new Yerima of Lafiagi before bestowing on him the title.
To Royal bloods is the league of heavy clothes, decorated turbans, leather shoes and all forms of respectful adornment related to Blueblood, the new Yerima of Lafiagi has never for once being left out.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Buhari Manzuma attended central primary school Lafiagi, where he obtained his first school leaving certificate between 1991 to 1996. He then proceeded to Islamic College Patigi to further his secondary education and obtained his Senior School Certificate (NECO/WAEC) in 2005. Afterwards, he got admitted into College of Education Technical Ilorin, Kwara State where he had excellent result in Political Science/Social Studies between 2006 2009.
As a man who have appetite for knowledge, even after becoming a police officer, he secured another admission into Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin where he studied Business Administration between 2015 -2018.
As a security personnel, he's endowed with several super tactical skills such as: defensive tactics, weapon handling, emergency response, law enforcement and criminal investigation, Police patrol operation, community relations, crime scene preservation, traffic stops and accident investigation, search and seizure regulation, suspect bookings and interrogation, and incident report writing.
LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPERIENCE
Buhari Manzuma has worked as State CID for 2 years in Nassarawa State where he displayed sound judgment under pressure in life threatening situations and other emergency scenarios between 2012 - 2014.
He also served in the Police State Headquarter in Ilorin, Kwara State at the Record Office where he coherently worked in preserving public order, he accurately registered all complaints brought, and also register and investigate all cognizable offenses between year 2014 to 2016.
Before the end of 2016, Buhari Manzuma was transferred to Anambra State where he served as the Orderly to the Area commander in Onitsha. He took responsibilities and served with total patriotism and selflessness between year 2016 to 2018.
However, in the same capacity, he worked in Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria at the Federal Inland Revenue Service Enforcement Unit where he also served with core aims and objectives to strengthen Police Community relations and worked with patrol and other first responders to asses scene, ensure victim/public safety, apprehend suspected criminal offenders, secure crime scene and conduct preliminary investigations between 2018 to 2019.
Currently he work at the Nigeria Force Headquarter Abuja where he was attached to the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service as his orderly. The Position he's presently serving with unassuming loyalty and humility.
Buhari Manzuma has keen interest in so many things such as: driving, problem solving and outdoor sports, outing, traveling among others. Buhari is a charismatic Inspector of Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and security enthusiast with good interpersonal relationship; Passionate about ethics and standard in service delivery and possess adequate skills for human capital development.
He's a community-oriented public servant, deeply committed to protecting lives, citizens and property through rapid emergency response, He's well known for building Mutual trust and across cultural ties with ethnically and socio-economically diverse populations.
Buhari is happily married with two wives and children.
It is our prayer that he continue to champion the cause of Lafiagi emirate at all fronts like he has always done.
