JUST IN!!! A Kidney Now Costs $262,000; Heart, $119,000 - UN Warns Nigerians!

The United Nations (UN) has raised the alarm about the booming black market for human body organs in the Middle East, warning Africans to beware of traffickers who disguise as job providers.

The alert that the UN posted on its website and was seen by our correspondent, urged Africans to be wary of human body organ harvesters who pose as employment providers in the Middle East.

Recall that a Nigerian Senator, Ike Ekweremadu is currently in detention in the UK for allegedly trying to harvest an organ of a 21-year-old, Nwamini Ukpo.

The UN however did not mention the name of any country in the gulf region.

The UN noted that the black marketers pay $262,000 for a kidney, an equivalence of about N157 million.

The document entitled, United Nations Alert, states, "the black market for parts of the human body is booming in the Middle East.

"A kidney now costs 262,000 dollars (131 million CFA francs); the heart costs 119,000 dollars (60 million CFA francs) and the liver costs 157,000 dollars (79 million CFA francs).

"Beware of fake foreign agencies promising to make you work abroad. They process your papers, pay your plane ticket and just take you abroad pretending they want to find you a job, but instead, they kill their victims, recover all the precious parts of their bodies.

"Many people have been offered jobs in the Middle East and so far their families have been unable to locate them,” the UN alert read.

Zamfara Govt Suspends Emir For Turbaning Repentant Bandit, Ado Aliero As 'Sarkin Fulani'

The Zamfara State Government has suspended the Emir of Sabon Birnin Yandoto of Tsafe local government area of the state, Aliyu Garba Marafa, for turbaning a notorious repentant bandits’ leader, Adamu Aliero, as Sarkin Fulani (leader of Fulani).

This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Kabiru Balarabe, and made available to newsmen on Sunday night.

Osun: ‘God Bless You Sir’, Davido Tells Buhari

Singer, Davido, has said a prayer for the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) after he congratulated his uncle and winner of the Osun governorship election, Ademola Adeleke.

Buhari had said that the results of the election reflected the will of Osun people.

He said, “The people of Osun have expressed their will through the ballot. This is what democracy is all about: respect for the will of the people. The successful conduct of is a demonstration of the maturity and the commitment of all stakeholders, towards strengthening the integrity of the electoral process in Nigeria.

“I remain fully committed to leaving behind a legacy of credible elections in Nigeria.”

Quoting the last line of the retired general’s tweet, Davido said, “You will leave a LASTING legacy! God bless you for this act alone sir!”

The Malagasy president says, Europe created organizations with the desire for Africans to remain dependent on them. Africa has found a medicine against Coronavirus but Europe thinks they have a monopoly of intelligence as such they are refusing to acknowledge it. It is against this backdrop that I invite all African Nations to quit the international organizations in order for us to build ours.

My country Madagascar leaves all the organizations tonight and I call on other African Nations to do same.

The National Universities Commission, NUC, has phased out Mass Communication Degree in Nigeria institutions.

With the development, there will be no more Mass Communication as a degree programme in universities in Nigeria.

The NUC said it has unbundled Mass Communication into seven separate degree programmes to meet present demand and this takes effect from 2020 admissions into Nigerian universities.

In a chat with journalists in Abuja on Thursday, NUC’s Executive Secretary, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, said Mass Communication has been unbundled into Media Studies, Public Relations Studies, Cinematography, among others.

The seven new Programmes/Departments, to be domiciled in a Faculty / School / College of Communication and Media Studies are Journalism & Media Studies, Public Relations, Advertising, Broadcasting, Film & Multi-Media Studies, Development Communication Studies, Information & Media Studies.

Court: Hotel Cleaner Who Stole S***m From A Used Condom Won Child Support Battle.

A 40-year-old Las Vegas hotel cleaner won a child support battle against a 28-year-old millionaire who she never slept with.

Jane was 36 when she stole a used condom from a then 24-year-old tech millionaire’s hotel garbage can.

She inserted the semen inside her va**na and became pregnant with a baby boy who is now 4-years-old.During the child support hearing, Jane confessed that she never slept with the young millionaire and that she impregnated herself with his s***m while she was cleaning his room.

Russian President Vladimir Putin hits Africa Again!

"Africa will never be independent, Africans believe in Europeans, Americans, and Chinese more than themselves. They don't trust themselves at all, African technocrats/Engineers aren't given the platform to practice what they studied instead they hire Chinese to construct roads for themselves.

A white man will commit a crime in Africa but no action will be taken because the African authorities view us as Demigods, far from the truth. A black man can be abducted in Europe get harassed and even be killed but no African authority can even question. Africans present themselves as weak people with no hope, especially when dealing with Europeans and Americans.

They are their own enemies. They hate each other and this gives their colonial masters the opportunity to continue exploring their resources. As far as I know, Africa is more of God's chosen continent, its a blessed continent and its time for Africans to Realise they are in a place where Americans, Europeans and Chinese are jealous of and wish it should be them there...You can't compare African weather with any other weather...African soil can feed the whole of Europe, America, and Asia but their problem is just one, "THEIR LEADERS". As far as I am concern their best president ever was Gaddafi".

To me, it is left to the Africans to forget the emotion and try to understand the challenges attracting all these insults (though it not actually an insult but a reality). Keep shame and unnecessary pride aside, analyze the situation and think of what to do.

A High Court in Lafia, on Friday, ordered the Nasarawa State Government to pay the management of Breeze 99.9 FM Lafia, N67. 3 million for illegal demolition of the station.

Delivering the judgment, Justice Rose Soji, held that the demolition of the station by the government on May 20, 2017 was illegal.

Justice Soji also ordered the state government to offer a public apology to the management of the station for the illegal act. - PUNCH
