This one belief will stop you from being successful

The belief that you have to sacrifice everything in order to grow and scale your plumbing business. 📈

It’s just not TRUE! 💀

While it is hard work 💪

And requires a lot of dedication!

This LIE stopped me from growing my plumbing business for years.

I thought I would end up all alone or divorced

Like it’s one or the other

But because my wife and I were on the same page and we did it together we actually grew closer in the process!

I get it! Your trying to run and grow your plumbing business!

Your dealing with CSR's, Technicians, Systems, angry customers, CRM's, broken equipment and all the daily crap that comes with owning your own business.

Let alone trying to live a life too!

And it's a lot of freaking work! 🧑‍🏭

You feel like your being pulled in a bunch of different directions!

And the thought of being active on Facebook or Instagram sounds good in theory...

but to actually follow through with it is whole other story 😒

You know that your customers are on Facebook and you know that if they knew about your quality services they would love your brand and the way you've built your plumbing business to serve the customer. 💪

So you get all excited and post consistently for a couple days....

but then you get busy and miss a week or two

And your not being consistent enough to see any results....

That was our founder Jered Williams two years ago!

He knew that if he could get on Facebook and consistently tell people about how well he was taking care of his customers

and why his customers loved his plumbing business

that he would attract more customers who appreciated his service!

The problem with Jered's plumbing business was that he was getting too many calls from customers who weren't a good fit for his plumbing business.

So Jered set out to pre educate people in his local community about how they offer quality service in a timely manner with the best customer service around

Plumbing Business marketing can be split into two categories

Advertising and Branding

I like to think of these as short term and long term

Advertising or “short term” are direct response

Anytime you are running an ad and asking for a response from your customers

Like google ad words

The response being that they call you

it’s a very short term marketing strategy

Branding or “Long Term” marketing is the opposite of direct response

It has a long time horizon and requires consistency

The goal being to educate your customers on the value that you offer

What is different about you from the other guys

and to create an emotional connection with your customer

This is a long term strategy

A lot of plumbing businesses solely focus on short term

And miss out on the power of building a powerful brand

Where your customers understand the value you bring to the table

And you’ve created an emotional connection with them

Where they understand what you, what your all about

And why they should hire you over the other guys

If you post pictures of your staff consistently on social media 😉

The local community will start to associate your business with other people

Which is super powerful!

People buy from those they know like and trust

And most people have an easier time trusting other people over a faceless business

And on the other end of the spectrum
When you mess up

Because all plumbing businesses mess up sometimes😢

Your customers have a much harder time complaining about another person

They are much more likely to be a little more forgiving if they associate your business with people

Plus this is one of the easiest pieces of content to make

Take a picture and add a name and some special details about the person

Some business owners are scared of posting to frequently

They’re worried about driving people nuts on social media

But the reality is that whoever screams the loudest gets the most attention

My favorite example of this is Grant Cardone

If you don’t know who he is he’s a billionaire real estate investor

And he’s very well know for his aggressive marketing techniques

In an interview with Alex Hormozi grant said that

40% of his business comes from people who unsubscribed from his email list

Think about that for a minute

He drove them nuts enough to unsubscribe from his email list

And they still spent money with him

If your drive them nuts enough they know

Who you are, what you do, and what your all about

And better yet they’re still willing to give you their money

Which means you should post as often as possible

So then it just becomes a matter of what's reasonable as far as time and money is concerned

Either your going to do it yourself and time is the determining factor

How much time are you willing to spend on posting

Or your going to pay someone to do it for you and money is the determining factor

I know when I was answering the phone in my plumbing business

I hated it when my phone would ring

My schedule was nuts and the last thing I needed was one more phone call

To add one more job to my already busy schedule

If this sounds like you

And you want to grow and scale your plumbing business

You might want to think about hiring someone to answer your phone

And make your schedule for you

The first employee I hired in my plumbing business was just that

And it made a huge difference in my ability to focus on the important things

So that I could grow and scale my business

Picking three thing that you already do well in your plumbing business is a great way to get ideas for social media content 🤪

For instance in my company our three things are same day service, Quality craftsmanship, excellent customer service ***I own a plumbing company as well***

So I can make posts that educate my potential and existing customers about what my company is already doing very well

That way they start to relate my company with those three things

Three things we already doing

Same day service, quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service

If a potential customer wants those three things they know who to call

And when they do call they already know what to expect

And when you deliver on what they expect of you

You create a raving fan 😃

And better yet when they give you a five star review

They are much more likely to mention one or all of your three things

Because you've now told them what you do and what your all about

You've essentially put the words in their mouth

After a while your social media and your five star reviews will all say the same message to your customer

This is what we do and here is the proof to back it up
