I wanted to reach out one more time to my amazing families. It has been a pleasure to teach your children the last three years. Most students have over heard the news, but I have accepted a new teaching position at Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach. It means I will not see your sweet children down the hallways at SJE, but I am still in the community. I pray to see you all out and about (dance, rec fields, parks, and church). Thank you!

Sunshine and Bubble Days have been so much fun celebrating the success of these students. I have also watched these students become a family this year. Just 6 more days with each other. We will enjoy every bit of time together. Sports/Game 🏈 ⚽️ Day today.

St. James Elementary PTA has an election coming up for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

We are also seeking committee chairs for the following positions : Dolphin Partners, Fundraising, Holiday Shop, Hospitality, Membership, Spirit Day, Volunteer, and Yearbook.

Rockin Dolphins have been amazing this year. Classroom Jobs start next week and rotate out for the rest of the year. However our Rockin Dolphins have all been leaders and helpers to others as they serve our class.
Also please congratulate Zoey as she earned second place at the Tech Fair! Great work!
Chloe also had a wonderful experience at CCU !
So many celebrations as we enter into the fourth quarter!

Field trip picture overload! 😁 It was an amazing day! So much fun. We did alter our park plans but everything is GREAT! We had SEVERAL holes in one! Thank you for the parent volunteers!

Today we completed our writing letters unit. Our letters have been mailed to our family members/friends! Students learned to write friendly letters, address an envelope, add a stamp, and place in the mailbox for delivery!

Parachute Day! Today we were able to measure with centimeters, follow step by step directions, create something new, and experiment. DYI parachutes: our class had an amazing time building, learning, and playing today! 🙂

Today we started our Air and Weather unit in science. We explored how air can move objects. We experimented 3 different ways to observe air with feathers, water, and straws.

Students have been reading many biographies in class. Last week the students researched, wrote, and presented on a historical figure from the past. They did a wonderful job speaking and organizing their thoughts.

Tomorrow is the last day to bring in any items for All4Paws. However, students and families at St James Elementary have generously donated so much already! Today several second grade classes took items from the hallway to start sorting, organizing, tallying up totals. The students worked together and we will finish tomorrow with our hands-on service learning project! Thank you for your support and kindness!
