Welsh Football Fans Lose Thousands As Coach Scammer JAILED

Welsh football fans going to the World Cup lose thousands as coach scammer jailed in Dubai.
Welsh football fans heading out to Dubai for the World Cup have suffered their first loss before even arriving in the Middle East.

Fans who thought they knew a YouTube presenter, Adam Brown, who promoted a football show on YouTube known as ‘Football With Brownie’ responded to the show’s presenter when he advertised he was running coach trips to Qatar for all the Welsh matches.

It’s understood from supporters that hundreds of fans paid deposits after seeing an advertisement on social media Facebook.

Payments allegedly were paid into a PayPal account to Adam Brown and were promised coach reservations for all qualifying matches.

Now with just under 4 weeks to go, Welsh fans attempting to contact Brown have discovered he’s languishing in a Dubai jail awaiting drug smuggling charges, facing possibly the death penalty.

Brown, a failed British businessman with an endless list of failed Companies at Companies House, ranging from recruitment operations to building firms that all folded owing hundreds of thousands of pounds, also it’s understood leaving viewers out of pocket by failing to deliver merchandise for his small YouTube show.

Now Wales fans are having to fork out again for travel arrangments despite appealing to PayPal.

‘ I saw his advert on Facebook, and I sent him deposits for each qualifying game’ tells Chip Jenkins from Pentyrch, ‘ He advertised coaches from Dubai to Qatar for all the games; I have been trying to contact him for weeks, so have many others, and we have now discovered he’s in jail in Dubai for drug smuggling large amounts of Class A drugs’.

Brown, also a failed councillor in his home town of Merthyr Tydfil, where he was banned by the council for a record three years, had moved to Spain after his marriage fell apart and bankrupted his final recruitment company after a disgusting advertising campaign.

Whilst in Spain, he started dealing drugs and had to flee the country after landlords were chasing him down after he had taken on tenancies before allowing eastern European drugs gangs to grow hash crops in the Villa’s he had rented.

Fleeing back to his mother’s, a charity shop worker in Merthyr Tydfil, he then headed out to Dubai to rejoin his eastern European counterparts who had relocated from Marbella to Dubai.

Brown, as well as making a living from YouTube, where he told numerous lies to his viewers, even claiming he was Aaron Ramsey’s contact when the Welsh player moved from Cardiff City to Arsenal, claimed on his show that he was visiting Turkey for a ‘nose job’ operation when it appears he was smuggling he**in back to Dubai.

On one show, he even claimed his mother, Pam Brown, 75, despite Brown telling viewers she was in her elderly 90s, told him to go and make his fortune whilst loaning him the funds for the Middle East move.

Now Welsh football fans also appear to be at a loss at the hands of Brown, who is due for trial shortly in Dubai.

This is Diane Jones with her daughter, Sarah Jane. This photograph was taken shortly before they and Diane's other baby daughter, Shauna, were killed in an arson attack as they slept. Someone had doused their door with petrol and thrown a match through the letterbox. Not only had a young woman and two babies lost their lives in a horrific way, but loved ones' lives were changed forever, with Diane's father Jonny taking his own life as a result of what happened. The person responsible was never found and brought to justice. Diane's sisters, Mary and Denise, have released this picture in the hope that someone will finally come forward with information about what happened that night in 1995.

Merthyr Council Leader Suspended.

The leader of Council has been suspended for seven months for breaching the council’s code of conduct.

An Adjudication Panel for Wales at a hearing in December found six breaches of the council’s code of conduct by Councillor Kevin O’Neill.

There were six allegations made against the councillor, with five of the allegations in regards to a personal interest in the business of the authority in relation to a property at Luther Lane.

The first allegation was that he had failed to declare orally the existence and nature of a personal interest in the business of the authority relating to a property at Luther Lane at an inter-agency meeting on August 15, 2018.

The second allegation was that he had a prejudicial interest in relation to the business of the authority regarding the property at Luther Lane and was in breach of the code in not withdrawing from the room when the property was being considered at the meeting.

The third allegation was that Cllr O’Neill had a prejudicial interest in relation to the business of the authority regarding the property at Luther Lane and was in breach of the code in that he was seeking to influence a decision about that business and made oral representations at the inter-agency meeting.

The fourth allegation was that his email to the director of social services on August 16, 2018 failed to include details of his personal interest in the business of the authority in relation to the property at Luther Lane, and that the e-mail sought to influence a decision about that business and made written representations about that business in which he had a prejudicial interest.

The fifth allegation related to whether his actions in speaking at the meeting on August 15, 2018 and sending written correspondence to the director of social services the next day were seeking to influence a decision about the business of the property at Luther Lane and whether such conduct, if proved, could reasonably be regarded as bringing his office or authority into disrepute.

The sixth allegation related to the meeting with the former chief executive of the council on March 5, 2019 and whether Cllr O’Neill’s conduct towards the former chief executive was inappropriate and failed to show respect and consideration to him.

The tribunal found unanimously that he had failed to comply with the code in relation to all of the allegations and decided that Cllr O’Neill should be suspended from acting as a member of the council for seven months.

Cllr O’Neill has the right to ask the High Court for leave to appeal the decision and the tribunal recommended the monitoring officer provides him with further training in relation to the code of conduct, the meaning of “prejudicial interests” and the approach to be taken to, and the status of, the advice of the monitoring officer within a month of him returning.

He won’t receive any council pay during the seven months and deputy leader Councillor Lisa Mytton will step into the role of leader during his absence.

A spokeswoman for Merthyr Tydfil Council said: ” Following a complaint against the leader of Merthyr Tydfil CBC, the Public Services Ombudsmen for Wales has suspended Kevin O’Neill as leader and as a member of the council for a period of seven months commencing from 23rd December 2020.

During this period, Kevin O’Neill will be treated as a member of the public, not as a councillor.

“In the meantime, deputy leader, Councillor Lisa Mytton will represent the leader’s office.”

Over twenty officers took part in an operation to tackle antisocial behaviour in Merthyr Tydfil town centre on Thursday.

They flooded the town and headed for known hotspots looking out for street drinkers and people begging following a rise in the number of complaints from the public.

One person was arrested for failing to comply with an officer’s direction to leave the town centre, and another was arrested for possessing Class B drugs.
Officers on foot patrol were supported by officers on horseback to ensure a visible presence across the town and to deter offending.

The operation was co-ordinated by South Wales Police’s Community Safety and Partnerships department which specialises in problem solving, working with other agencies who offer advice on things like housing and personal issues such as substance abuse.

Merthyr Tydfil Inspector Jon Duckham, said: “We are determined to ensure Merthyr Tydfil town centre is a place where people can enjoy and not feel intimidated by people who act with no regard for others. As restrictions are lifted, it’s as important as ever to ensure the public can embrace everything that local businesses have to offer. Our work will continue to ensure that happens.”

LATEST UPDATE
The local community are continuing to work with South Wales Police and the emergency services in the co-ordinated search for Brooke. We have been overwhelmed by the local support and have covered a lot of terrain. After speaking with the Police and their planning teams, efforts will become more focussed in specific areas.
The need for volunteers will still be required tomorrow as the search for Brooke continues.Together with the Police we would like to appeal to all those that are fit, healthy, have a good local knowledge and have any specialist skills, that would assist with a difficult outdoor search, report to the Treharris Rugby Club at 10.30am, where the Police will coordinate search teams. Those that are able to help should wear all-weather clothing and appropriate footwear.
We continue to be overwhelmed by the response from the local community and would like to thank everyone for their support so far.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Brooke’s family and friends at this time.
