This week we are going to do things a little different than we have in the past and there is reason for this.

Tomorrow we will have 3 seperate episodes that are set to drop from 3 amazing individuals that we have in our community!

Our first episode tomorrow will drop at 8 am and we will be joined by USD Legend and Community Doer, Terry Grateful Liggins from Hurdle Life Coach Foundation! From breaking records to finding himself federally indicted, Terry has made it his purpose to not only break the statistics that have always counted him out but also help others who are reentering into society. His story is truly one that you will not want to miss out on! PS. We were even joined by the SD Hall of Fame Journalist Jack Marsh!!!

The second episode tomorrow will drop at 12 pm and we will be joined by the owner and newest member of DTSF with 1stgen_hq, James1stgen!! This conversation is one that we truly enjoyed because of the raw topics and emotions that come from going deeper into our lives and why we do the things we do now!

And finally we will be wrapping up our 2nd and FINAL season of Overstepping Poverty will drop at 4pm, with a very special guest who has a true passion for helping people reach new levels they didn’t know was possible, Tamien Dysart from Think 3D Solutions! Getting to sit down and dive into the mind of someone who has spent countless hours investing into himself and his mind to become a better person. Tamien continues to be the change we want to see in the world and has just begun doing his work behind the prison walls here in Sioux Falls and I am excited for our listeners to get this insight!

Yes. Unfortunately this will be the end of the road for Overstepping Poverty.

Since the beginning, we have been blessed with the best support from our family, friends, and strangers who have become a big part of the OSP Family. Each guest that we have had on, holds a special place in our hearts as they came on our platform and shared their story with the world, which can be extremely daunting and we are truly grateful for each of you!

Overstepping Poverty is NOTHING without the people. Our guests and supporters who contributed their time, stories, and energy each week to see who we would have on next is what kept us going. Thank you to everyone for the wonderful opportunity to become more connected to our city and if we managed to help just 1 person Overstep Poverty, it was ALL worth it! 🏁

‼️🛑 SPECIAL GUEST OF THE WEEK 🛑 ‼️

We are excited to announce this week’s special guest, Miranda Basye. Miranda is a dedicated member of the Sioux Falls community and a candidate for City Council in the Northeast district. Miranda's upbringing instilled in her the values of hard work and the importance of recognizing the individuals behind that hard work.

Having given her all to the community, Miranda believes there is still more she can offer. Drawing from her experiences as a former Softball player at The University of Sioux Falls, she understands that true change requires a collective effort, starting with one person leading by example.

This also means holding core values that leaders are often instilled with during their upbringing including honesty, respect, kindness, responsibility, perseverance, empathy, and integrity. These will help shape individuals into well-rounded and compassionate members of society.

While Miranda's aspirations for city council are commendable, this episode focuses on her personal journey - the challenges she has faced, the victories she has achieved, and the constant strive for self-improvement and positivity. Tune in to discover the remarkable story of Miranda Basye this Friday, February 23rd @ 8:00AM

Special Guest Of The Week!

We are excited to announce this week’s special guest on Overstepping Poverty Podcast, John Milk! His story is truly remarkable. Once a product of his environment, he has experienced firsthand how the people and circumstances around you can shape your life. Growing up, John found himself entangled in trouble and became caught in a cycle with the correctional system.

However, John’s story is one of transformation. It is a testament to the power of changing your environment and mindset. Against all odds, John made a complete turnaround in his life. He dedicated himself to making a positive impact on his community, particularly through teaching children the importance of creativity. Together with his business partner, John co-owns a venture called “Red Resilience,” which to us focuses on promoting resilience and positive change.

John’s journey showcases the incredible potential for personal growth and resilience in efforts to become better than you were yesterday. It serves as a powerful reminder that second chances can lead to profound transformations and the ability to inspire others. John’s story is authentic, inspiring, and entirely unique. It demonstrates that it is not the system that changes the person, but rather the person who has the power to change the system.
