Instagram and TikTok might look similar, but they actually work pretty differently.

TikTok is much more discovery-focused. Your content gets shown to people based on what they’re interested in and watching, which is why more raw, conversational and searchable content works so well there.

Instagram is more engagement-focused. Watch time, likes, shares and interactions matter, but the platform is also a lot more curated and visual. Think aesthetic carousels, short engaging Reels and content people actually want to save or send to someone.

You can still use the same content idea on both, just think about how you package it for each platform.

Have you ever not posted for so long that you don’t even know where to start again? Cause same 🥲

I didn’t post on my own socials for over 6 months. Not because I didn’t know how to create content, cause I do this every day for clients.

But when it came to my own account, I kept overthinking the strategy.

What should I post?
What direction should I take?
What will actually work?

And the longer you wait, the harder it feels to start again.

But getting back into posting doesn’t have to be complicated. A bit of inspiration, clear content pillars and a simple plan can already help you get moving again.
