🪦Bodie, California has one of the most interesting cemeteries. It covers multiple acres on the hilltop overlooking the old ghost town.
💨If you look closely you can see the intensity of the high winds and see the storm clouds moving in. Bodie is at 8,000 feet above sea level and anytime you’re there it’s important to watch the weather closely.
❄️You can get hit by a snow or lightning storm at any point. They roll down the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and hit the small mountain town rapidly.
🌩️The weather and georgraphic climate had a tremendous impact on the hard living that the citizens who lived in Bodie year round faced in its heyday as a gold mining town.
📑One of the things I document regularly in these old mining towns that possess paranormal reports is these types of conditions.

My paranormal partner in crime @bethanyshomesweethauntedhome and I were checked out a new locations the other day with the para-lantern and walked by this antique store that has a huge back room full of vintage and antique dolls. Well of course we had to stop in and see if any of them set the lantern (which is an emf detector) off. We found two major hotspots this one is the first. Don’t you think this haunted cutie should join the other dolls @bethanyshomesweethauntedhome ??? 👻

Driving towards Yosemite we passed though Chinese Camp, California on Highway 49. A tiny area that’s well worth the stop for any explorers of the abandoned, decaying, and paranormal.
Once a thriving mining camp of over 5000 Chinese gold miners and laborers in the 1850’s its dwindled down to a mere 126 residents. A true Ghost Town in every sense.
This areas intensely violent past came from both inside and outside of the camp. A Tong War saw many Chinese immigrants battling against each other for territory and mining rights. This wasn’t any usual war fought with guns and rifles, which is often violent enough. The Tong War was fought with knives, because Chinese immigrants were outlawed from owning guns at the time.
The paranormal claims in this area are astounding, some have dubbed it one of the most haunted ghost towns in California. Given its violent passed is it any wonder?!
As you walk around and explore you get a distinct impression that you are not alone. There may not be a human in sight, but this place definitely gives you the feeling of being watched.

Paranormal locations can take a lot out of you as an empathy, especially when you’re visiting multiple in a short period of time. One way I cope is spending time with my cats, but when I was in Canada my fur-babies were thousands of miles away, luckily I stumble on two cat cafes in Quebec City @cafefelinmalangueauxchats and @cafefelinchatsnous and got some much needed kitty care!!! 😻😻😻
