Our beloved ash trees are under serious threat from the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). This invasive insect has decimated millions of ash trees and now poses a major challenge here in Maine.

🌱 Maine Audubon, in collaboration with the Maine Forest Service and partners like the University of Maine, is leading efforts to protect and preserve ash trees. Through innovative methods like biological control, insecticide treatments, and seed collection, experts are working hard to slow the spread of EAB and save Maine’s ash forests for future generations.
