This episode of “Why am I doing this?”, fuelled by wine and beer, is with Chris Helme, singer/songwriter and former frontman of John Squire’s post Stone Roses band, The Seahorses.

Don’t let the length put you off, just enjoy having your ears pleasured - said the actor to the bishop.

Tune the f**k in to The Hair of the Dog 8-10pm tonight and every Sunday.
It’s a tune linked to a tune linked to a tune linked to a tune, sometimes it works more successfully than others.
Anyway, give it a listen, I think there are some funny bits and great music in this one, which is unusual.
Go on, do you ears a favour, you know you don’t know if it makes sense.

I asked him and he said yes, you can talk to me.
So I recently chatted with Chris Helme, former frontman and songwriter with John Squire’s band The Seahorses.
We had a couple of drinks, used the c word a very lot and talked about things and stuff for the next “Why am I doing this?” episode.
So keep an ear or two out for that, as it will be coming very soon.

In the meantime, if you’ve not listened already….
The interview below with Sice from indie greats, the Boo Radleys would be a good thing for whenever you’d like to give your ears some food.

Here are just a few reviews of “Why am I doing this?” from actual real people:
“Excellent podcast for anyone into the comedy and music culture of the last 40 years. Received wisdom says this started in the 1960s but this podcast is about how it really got going in the 1980s.
Thank you John Peel, thank you Seppi Preston...”
Dour Scot.

“Cracking listen, like 2 pals chatting. Mini discs, 5 disc albums, shut the bloody door. Seppi was really interesting and I'll be listening to the others. It's natural which makes it a good listen. Brilliant.”
Wendy A.

“Excellent. He seems like a bloody nice fella. Great interview.”
Pat Feeney.

“Brilliant stuff. Just felt like two mates talking! Really interesting discussion.”
Andy Stephen.

I did an interview with Karen Dunbar of Chewin' the Fat fame (I know she's done other stuff too), so if you're bored, feel free to do your ears a favour and click one of the links below (I'd also appreciate some feedback as this is my first interview).
Currently have some fantastic guests lined up, from local legends to household names.
Also looking for many more people to interview and talk about things and stuff with, so if you fancy that sort of thing or know anyone who should be talked to and then listened to, drop me a message and let's get it sorted.
