There's been rumours about us signing Lincoln post hardcore band Bat Flattery. Well you are sadly mistaken. We are actually signing the artist known as RAT BATTERY. She is currently working on her debut LP 'Onion Ring' and she has kindly shared the track listing for me.

Acquired a new pedal just in time for recording the new Night Carriage album. This Demon Tube screamer is alright. Disclaimer. This is probably one of the worst tester and play through videos ever made. Approach with caution.

What's a happening? Well Night Carriage Album is being recorded. 1/8 tracks has been recorded so far and I've finished drum programming for another song. I'm just having a breather and messing around for drum patterns on a song called 'Spit in the fountain'. Bat Flattery will be making music obviously but as the nights draw in and things get spookier, I'm definitely getting my vibes on for NC #2.

I suppose we'd better keep you posted. Next Saturday I really hope to share with you the new June Wings album Barbicane. One last track is being worked on and after a day of solid mixing, it should be ready to roll out. In the mean time here's a taster of the album's art. Following this, I aim to get Warm up Lap's Ep Prizes all mixed and ready to release by late July/earliest August.

Damn son. Nothing's been posted for a while. Not to say that nothing has happened in the Beetle hive. Barbicane is going and being recorded, but it's always hard to get tracks down when the nation and its neighbour are having BBQs.

Mat's Warm Up Lap Ep is nearly done. It's going great and I'm always grilling him for new takes like a drill sergeant to really help him hit home his capabilities. He's a great story teller in his vocals and his method of music making is off the chart. I can't wait to put this altogether for him and present it in full.

Bat flattery are going to meet for their first rehearsals next week. Which is going to be fun as well. It's been so long since I've seen my brothers and can't wait to get on it.

Patience is a virtue though. Less is always more and it's always about the journey as opposed to the destination.

You may have noticed that the Night carriage track Keds was named after our friend Mark who passed away in January after a battle with COPD. Because landlords are parasites and cant get proper jobs, they are sadly imposing sanctions on Mark's widowed partner.

If you can either support Nat and her cats by either sharing or chipping in some money to their legal defence then you would be the hero in this story. Fact. As Mark would say, take care and god bless.

More likes on the page? Thanks folks you are too kind. So I'm working on another track for a Plinth and it's an instrumental. Which translates as 'thank God my neighbours dont have to hear me making weird vocal noises.'

Just to update though. I'm so happy that the new Grey Market ep is out. I caught them a few years ago support my mate's band and they blew me away. They're one of those bands that, for me. Made me go back to the drawing board and really revise how to carefully sculpt a song, thinking about dynamics, pace and flare in song writing. This is Christmas 2.0 for me. So feel free to indulge in one of my favourite EPs of the year. I'm going to whack a donation in their pot because they're that good. The world needs more bands like Grey Market.

I've always been a fan of taking things steady and celebrating modest achievements. Therefore I just wanted to say thanks for all the people who have helped reached 50 likes in 5 days! That's a nice and tidy quantity for now.

So now that I have a small audience, it's probably best to explain what is going on in a brief, one time update until the next batch of content is ready to release/promote via this tool.

2/5 Night Carriage tracks are fully recorded for the EP/mini album 'Plinth'. Its coming along nicely, whilst sounding both evil and heavenly in all the right places.

My good friend Mat is currently working on a Lo-fi alt pop project called 'Normie Memes'. It's all sounding good and very unique atm and I can say with pride that I cant wait to release his EP 'Prizes'.

Lockdown pending and depending on how fast the dust settles after Covid, I'm really hoping that my old Bat Flattery crew can get together, rehearse like crazy and then we can get recording!

Oh and eventually....EVENTUALLY. I will start recording Barbicane as well!

We probably wont be doing any physical releases atm and all releases will be published on a 'pay what you want' status. Not a band signed to Ochrus Records. But they're part of our local scene and they're excellent. Super visuals and a lovely atmospheric feel to their sound. If you love your Neurosis or ISIS then check these out.
