Life update: I have been sick since January. First it was an ear infection, then I had a sore throat, then cellulitis then i had to go to the hospital two weeks ago because I'm allergic to an antibiotic and now I have the skin texture of a Gucci handbag. I also need new glasses and its taken me 3 months to get them! Spoiler alert I still don't have them and as such I have not been able to read well since February! So in case you were wondering, no I haven't forgotten the podcast, my body just decided to shut down for 5 whole months. I would tell you when the show will resume, but if I try to make a plan something will find a way to undermine my goals. So...surprise in advance!

Sea witch stole my voice, am currently on a quest to get it back. Got held up by a bridge troll who didn't understand ASL and didn't accept written answers. Ugh don't adventure alone kids.

Hey y'all Jory here, unfortunately I won't be uploading a new episode this week. My voice has only gotten worse so I'm doing what I can to make it all healed up. I still plan on doing a bonus episode on the 18th and hopefully we'll resume the normal schedule. October is a really draining month for me, especially since its coming up on the 1 year anniversary of losing my mom to pneumonia. So there is a lot going on. Thank you for your understanding and I'll see you on the 18th.

Hello new travelers, welcome to the official Do You Know This Story page. I'm Jory Freeman your storyteller and I'm so glad we have many new faces around here. Just a reminnder that this is a family friendly show, but we do talk about some heavy topics (nothing too serious, but your little ones may have some questions in certain episodes). That being said in the future there will be more pg-13 to R rated topics (some of these tales are...intense) but we will cross and burn that bridge when we get to it. In the meantime sit back relax.

Okay so July is turning out to not be my month so I'm going to need to delay episode 4. Episode 4 will air on August 8th. I am going to be reading two different stories featuring Hares and one of them required extensive research. But that just means it will be extra fun!

Still working on sorting out my topics for the show, but I definitely have enough for at least 5 episodes. Each episode is going to have more than two stories that share a theme followed by two segments such as Blondes Have More Fun, What Kind of Nonsense is This? and many more silly segment names. Every episode will end with one of Aesop's Fables. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to release each episode twice a month of once a week. For the sake of my vocal chords it might need to be twice a month.
