Burna Boy’s police escorts shoot married man after singer made pass at wife

The Lagos State Police Commissioner’s Special Squad has detained five policemen attached to singer, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, for attempted murder after they shot two fun seekers— Irebami Lawrence and another identified simply as Tolu— at Club Cubana on Victoria Island, Lagos, on Wednesday.
According to a preliminary report by the Bar Beach Police Division, trouble started when the singer and five police escorts visited the nightclub around 4am on June 8.
About four policemen waited outside while one of the policemen, identified as Inspector Ibrahim, who was in m***i, accompanied the Grammy-Award-winning artiste into the club.
According to multiple witness statements, the singer was in the VIP section with three women when he spotted another woman.

Zimbabwe: Burna Boy to Perform for Just 90 Minutes

The wait for Nigerian superstar Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, to perform in Zimbabwe is over, but the pleasure of seeing him on stage will last for only 90 minutes.
Burna Boy was expected in the country two years ago, but his show was postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic that was on the rampage at that time and affected the arts sector.
Organisers of the show confirmed the singer will arrive via a private jet with his band members and manager, and then entertain his fans for one and half hours at Belgravia Sports Club on Friday.
The Grammy award winner, who is being brought into the country by show organiser Hidden Culture, is expected to share the stage with local musician Jah Prayzah, with South African-based Zimbabwean model and television presenter Kimberly Robinson (Kim Jayde) being the hostess

Portable apologises to Headies after police report
Fast rising controversial singer, Portable has apologised to the organisers of Headies Awards 2022 for threatening co-nominees.
Portable’s apology is coming few hours after the organisers threatened to disqualify him.

“Those are my awards, anybody else who wins I will ask for them to be killed. I will ask them to kill the person. If the organisers give my award to someone else, they will die,” he said in Yoruba. “No go give my award to another person, he go die o”Smooth Productions,

however, made a report to the police as regards the concerning video and also warned the singer to retract his statement and make a written apology to his colleagues.

The statement read in part, “The Headies condemns such actions and is vehemently opposed to the utterance of any threats or actions that contravene our laws. We have notified the Nigerian Police Force of Okikiola’s actions to fellow nominees of the awards.

Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty, popular skincare brands owned by world-renowned singer, Rihanna, have finally launched in Nigeria.

Asides from Nigeria, other African countries such as Botswana, Ghana, South Africa, and Zambia, also witnessed the launch of the luxury brand on Thursday.

The event held in Lagos was star-studded with actors, artistes, and social media influencers. In videos making rounds on the Internet, celebrities were also allowed to sample the skincare products at the event.
